The patch broke my game.

I just downloaded the patch and my game will freeze every time I try and resume my My Player career or start or resume a franchise. I can play MLB Today games or play an exhibition game, but that's it. It never did this before. My disc is not scratched.

Just to check, I deleted the patch. Sure enough, the game will not freeze when I load My Player or try to resume/start a new franchise.

I downloaded the patch again and it freezes. I can't start over with My Player or a franchise because when I try, it freezes.

I tried this with custom rosters loaded and without, so as far as I can tell, it's not a roster problem.

No other 360 games freeze on my system.

On the PS3 here, I was able to resume my Franchise with no problem post-Patch. I did ineffect just now started My Player, and haven't encountered any problems yet.

Right on. I am going to try and delete the patch again. I don't know why it's doing it though...

I've found post-patch that all my Franchise games last only 8 innings.

Yeah... I will probably just keep the patch uninstalled so I can at least play My Player. No franchise for me. This was the year that sealed the deal for me, guys. It's pretty bad when a patch you've been waiting and hoping for does this, literally rendering the game absolutely useless... 2K, you're all done with getting my dollars.

Thats strange.I guees your on PS3 because on 360 i diddnt have any problems since the patch.My pitcher in My player is getting pulled at the proper times,the graphics for my player look MUCH improved as well as the fielding mechanics,fielding AI,AI managment,and even though that control fix diddnt ad walks it does allow for you drop the contact meter some so that you can actually strike guys out,get deep counts and still get a challange.
I would def suggest emailing them and seeing whats up because if you like My Player i think that was the part that was most improved,atleast for pitchers i never tried position player.
Other things that work now;
Team budgets are fixed,no more pujols sitting on FA list forever

On plays at the plate,they will actually try to throw the runner out

Seems like a better hit variety,instead of a million groundball singles in the hole

So I got home from work tonight and was wanting to try the patch out again. It has been uninstalled for a while now as I continued on with my My Player career. I downloaded it and it now works. It's not freezing up my game when I try and load files anymore.

I did get new internet... I used to have Clearwire but switched to Qwest and now the patch works. Pretty weird, but maybe it wasn't 2K after all. It just baffles me and I don't know what was causing the issue but I'm glad that it's fixed now!

Sometimes clearing the patch a couple times will fix stuff,i know last year i had a similar problem and after the 5th redownload i was finaly able to get new rosters.

I have a question. Is it normal to only be able to use 2ks official roster when starting a my player mode? I can't remember how it was before the patch. If I use a custom roster it freezes when I try to start the my player. So I guess the question is, is the freezing normal?
