what is the trick to hitting?

I am playing on legend mode and hav been stricking out about 75-80% of the time. Got any tips?

I envy this guy he is just the best there is. He is way to good to play on some sissy level below legend like me.


As for a tip go practice in the contact drill till you can hit.

I still believe my advice was notable because you can learn easier to hit in lower levels, then you can move up slowly, up to legend level once you become comfortable.

I used the same tactic when I was learning to play guitar. I wanted to play fast but I couldn't do it until I slowed myself down to a comfortable level, then slowly increasing the speed as I got more comfortable. Why not try it.

That's what I did. I lowered my level, I still cant hit the long ball though. I have hit 13 hr's in 15 games?!!

Isn't that about right?....about 1 HR per game?

I can't hit a double or triple. I seem to only get singles and HR's.....like many baseball games since the days of Atari.

Hah. I cant even hit a home run. I've only been getting singles, doubles and the occasional triple. I think I've hit like 1 home run ever playing this game, and it was at a friends house. I havent even hit one on my own game!

Depending on what team you are using, that might be about right. The Cardinals have 40 HR's in 47 games. That would be 12.7 per 15 games.

So it might be worth just playing out the season and seeing if you improve. Or you could bump up the user slider for power.

I'd like to see who are hitting the HR's, also. Are you getting the occasional HR from people we don't expect power from?

First, I get HR's without using the power spring using the Pro difficulty. I'm not sure if it is enough yet, but it is there.

But I also go to the power swing on 2-0 and 3-1 counts. That generates a decent amount of HR's, as well.

With guys like Pujols and Holliday, I may even go to the power swing more often, but will usually stick to the contact swinbg with them.

I do think it is a mistake to use the power swing too often. The window for contact is smaller, and I think it will result in a lot more outs.
