Is there anyway to set my infield as a starting pitcher in my player mode. Im sick of barely hit balls sneaking thru the infield because the computer sets the infield in the worst possible way. like when no ones on base they have the 2nd baseman covering 2nd instead of being in the whole which means he never is able to get to ground balls.

unfortuntly no.But honestly i dont mind it because i tried playing franchise mode for the first time for this reason and others(i wanted to be able to fix certain pitchers each season),and hated the fielding.It went from dribblers going through to nothing goin through and i find it hard enough to end the year with reasonable stats as it is(like not having a ERA under 2.50 every year).I had my sliders tuned up high and my fielder speed at 20 and they would grab everything unless it was hit over their head.Turned it down to 0 and a few would get through but hits that should be singles were turnin into doubles and doubles into inside the parkers.Alot of this is because of the auto-fielding(also what seems to be a glitch where the 3rd basemen will somtimes warp to the ball even though theres no way in hell they should get it).
I ended up just goin back to my player,yea the fielding sucks but atleast it makes it a challange.I always used to complain about how freaking slow relays where in My Player,until i tried it in franchise mode and realised its because there is NO FREAKING QUICK THROW in this game.Just another brillant choice by 2k to go along with the others.
