    Too Easy To Hit?

Not sure what it is, but my last 2 games in franchise with the Athletics I've scored 14 and 11 runs against the Mariners pitching. I'm also getting a lot of hits with contact swing.

I forgot who's slider set I'm using from the section, but my contact bar is at 35, and power is at 60. Is that too much or do the Mariners just suck?

um the mariners just suck....i played against them also last night with the Rangers and i beat them 12-3 and my contact bar is set at 35, i might move it down just to see what happens if i get less hits. I think i had 17 hits last night which is kinda high but there were times i only got 4 or 5 so i think it just depends on the pitching your against and the momentum

60 is too much for power, especially if you use the power swing. I wouldn't move it up past 50, and even that is high if you use the power swing.

I don't know but, against Boston I had 14, 17 hits and against Chicago I had 16 hits but, only scored 6,9, and 6 runs 47 hits and only 21 runs in 3 games? as for the power slider it depends on if you use the power swing. I have my power slider set at 70 and only use the power swing on 3-1 counts and am 2nd to last in the AL with 29 HR's in 25 games
        Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

Don't go over 50 on Power slider. It'll deactivate Trading Cards. I think 50 is about perfect.

Im having great games with the sliders i have, my contact is set at 30 and my power slider is set at 100...i know it looks high but i dont hit alot of homeruns, i have it up high so that the guys who dont have alot of power can still hit homeruns once in awhile. I was just shut out last night by the yankees and only had 4 hits. Im using classic batting

Yeah, just killed Detroit 12-6. I had 16 hits and 6 HR, 3 of them alone coming from Longoria. It's the first time I've had a really monster game though, so I'm not going to freak out. if it happens 2 or 3 more times, then I'll mess with the sliders.

I think you guys are just having "breakout games". This game is definately challenging to hit in on all-star. I have my contact and power at 45.

I played half a game with user contact at 15 and power at 45 and it felt pretty good.

CPU has 35 contact and 80 power. Still needs some tweaking though.

Once hitting got way to easy on Pro, I switched to All-Star. HUGE difference for me. I really have to battle for walks and hits now. In my first two games on All-Star I had a frustrating amount of strikeouts.

This is my major fear of switching to all-star. I lead MLB in batting average but not runs scored, it's mostly singles and I also hit into many double plays. Plus I strike out a lot. I have a tremendous winning percentage but there have been so many close wins. As of now I'm an amazing 28-5 with the Tigers on pro. I know this sounds like I absolutely need to turn it up but I have so many close wins it seems like i could easily be 5-28 instead, and all-star level might do just that.

Raised user contact to 20. Gonna raise power back to 50. I never hit too many HR's, so I don't know why I lowered it to 45. btw, I play with pitch speed at 100.

Lowered CPU contact to 30, power still at 80.

I am forced to use the default rosters now in Franchise, because the Royals are unplayable on the new rosters (43 Batting). I play on All-Pro and since the Patch released on the PS3, I haven't been as dominant as I was in the passed. Even with pitching, I been using Luke Hochevar pre-Patch and its just harder to paint the corners.

For batting, for you to say its easy you got to be using a super team like the Yankees because for the Royals, nothing comes easy but yeah I play on All-Pro and on All-Star, its a huge difference as the above poster said. I feel like I am using a Little League baseball team when I play with the Royals on All-Star, lol.

So I stick on All-Pro, aslong as I can win games and lose them I am satisfied. I have my games in Franchise where I have to fight for a win, dominate, or lose. And thats what I am looking for.

Agree. That's the way to go it plays real sim.
