    Pitching change suggestion 2k

One huge problem with the pitching interfaces of most if not all baseball games of the past few years and beyond has been how to allow the user to control location without total helplessness of a random location system nor total accuracy of a aiming based system.

I like the right stick gesture pitching interface along with the catcher calling the game (great innovation there). However as of right now it is far too easy to aim and locate a pitch. Whether this was by design to hand out quicker games or to keep the user "happy" and not frustrated that he/she can not throw a strike.

I would like to see a different aiming method. Instead using a aiming indicator the user picks inside - middle - outside and let the release point of the pitch as well as the power of the pitch control the accuracy of where the pitch is located.

I will post pictures to better give you an idea of what I am trying to convey here.

    Re: Pitching change suggestion 2k

Nice post, and I agree totally.

I began a dynasty using a fantasy draft. What I discovered is that even with my sliders (adjusted for difficulty) I had all the pitching sliders maxed out (difficulties at 100 each) and it was still too easy. I use classic hitting, so I had the cpu's hitting slider at 65 (which is very hard).

With pitchers rated in the low 70's and high 60's I was able to lead all of baseball in team ERA. that shouldn't happen. I had mastered the interface and could nail my spots.

I've already traded this game in...I just found it too frustrating and no fun. I believe that 2k is sitting on the precipice of a solid game, but I also think they don't truly care about what we fans of this game say. and I will no longer go to the official 2k forums because that place is full of idiots who are protected by mods who have their heads up their arses.

the fact that 2k fails to add more than a single patch is beyond comprehension. They could even add the idea that EA uses regarding "tuners" but they won't. they don't care...

I'm on the fence about next year. i doubt i'll purchase 2k11 on release day. i've been burnt by them too many times now. and for anyone thinking i'm nothing more than a "h@ter" I've invested a ton of time into putting together rosters that 2k wouldn't develop. i LOVE baseball, but what's funny is that i don't even miss this game for one second. after months of playing this game i could NEVER get a slider set that made the game sim-like and challenging. pitching is too easy and even after the patch they failed to nail it.

my guess is that they're target audience is 8 year olds, and i've pretty much given up on any hope for 2k...
