Perhaps MLB 2k11/12 could have a Nolan Ryan or Hank Aaron mode where you dominate like Michael Jordan did. Thoughts...?

I sincerely hope not, unless they can add this and fix all my complaints with the game, then I'd rather them just fix what's broken before adding stuff like this.

It's already possible in My Player. It's pretty easy to dominate if you leave it on the default difficulty.

I'm talking about reliving the 7 no hitters or breaking the HR record.

Well, you can actually break MLB records in My Player. I broke the record for most hits in a single season before I bumped up the difficulty

that's great and all but you are completely missing the point of what the original poster meant. He's talking about reliving past historical moments. Not that difficult to understand.

I for one would be into it if they did it right. Have like memorable moments relived that include the rosters, stadiums, uni styles, etc of whatever moment that is. Be it like relive Gibson, Joe Carter, Bobby Thompson, etc walk-offs, Clemens 20ks, no hitters, hit records, etc.

I think it's pretty impossible to do however unfortunately.

No, I think 2K was able to pull the Jordan thing off because...well, it's Michael Jordan and their NBA game was already in the positive. You really can't have the pop NBA 2K did with MLB 2K. Heck, they gave away a million dollars last year.

It's going to be tough for the MLB game to build momentum but it's in the right hands now.

I understand what he's saying. I was merely pointing out that it's possible break records and such and to create your own historical moments.

Perhaps they can do a Michael Jordan feature as well?

-Hit for .202 Batting Average over the season
-Drop routine fly balls in outfield
                  -11 Errors in 119 games
-3 HR over the course of a season
-Decide to stop playing baseball, and return to NBA 2k

lol. Seriously though, I don't think there is a star who has meant as much to the sport as Jordan did to basketball. Or to sports in general.

I think that's the real reason that it works so well in the NBA iteration. It'd just be too hard to find "that icon". Love him, or hate him, he revolutionized the game and how sports are played.

MLB2K5:World Series Edition did this. It put you in classic World Series situations and you had to try and recreate what really happened. I remember one of them was Scott Spiezio's game 6, 3 run HR in the 2002 World Series. The Gibson HR was one too...I forgot what the rest were though.

That's because one guy doing it by himself in baseball is different than the way Jordan did. It would have to follow multiple players. Though to some extent it would be pretty much the career mode of The Bigs.
