Re: New 2K11 Screenshot Comparison
See, that is just kind of trollish. You are making quite the leap in an effort to trash the developers.
The problems with last year's games had nothing to do with graphics. I'd prefer they roll out the exact same engine, but fix the list of stuff we have all mentioned over he last few months. MLB2K10.5 would be a welcome development.
The graphics weren't par for 2010 in my opinion, and I don't think I'm alone with that thought.Comment

Re: New 2K11 Screenshot Comparison
Yep, completely agree. I couldn't care less about graphics at this point. MLB 2k has always had decent next-gen graphics, but they've yet to have next-gen gameplay.Comment

Re: New 2K11 Screenshot Comparison
Gotta co-sign with Shadows. While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, anyone who thinks that looks similar or not much better than 2k10 needs to get their eyes checked. It's not even close. 2k11 looks much improved judging by that shot alone. Will still need to c more.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Hence why Blzer posted that picture.
I also agree about screenshots that KGUN has said. In this day and age, lets see videos, but obviously this early the game would not be in a state to show gameplay, since there is many months to go for tuning and fixing. So I guess for now screenshots are what we get for earlier tastes... just wish they were not "2K marketed" ones with perfect non aliasing and shadow tones.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: New 2K11 Screenshot Comparison
It is not about people "needing their eyes checked". Every year 2k releases these early taster shots, and every year the early shots are "doctored/touched up" and not what the game looks like when it is in our hands.

Re: New 2K11 Screenshot Comparison
Wrong...It's about people being unable to stay on topic. The guy posted a screenshot comparison of 2k10 and 2k11. Now people are talking about seeing gameplay videos or dispelling screenshot ad campaigns. Are you saying the 2k11 screenshot is just a doctered one of 2k10 with additional lighting, etc added? If so they did a heck of a job because it looks much much better than the 2k10 shot.
They do this every single year. They look PHENOMENAL out of the gate, then people ask "WTH HAPPENED?" when they see more recent shots around launch.
This is nothing new. I would love for a game with that perfect of anti-aliasing (lack there of), but it is not going to happen on these current consoles.

Re: New 2K11 Screenshot Comparison
If this is a Replay Close-up, then it will look almost exactly the same on your display in-game & if it doesn't then something ain't right with your display.
As for screen shots by 2k marketing compared to in-game. We had a 2k10 screen shot thread & the shots uploaded by members looked exactly if not betterComment

Re: New 2K11 Screenshot Comparison
I am not going to argue, but the only shots I saw that were close were from people with the PC version maxing everything.
The console has jaggies galore that was not present in their early marketing shots, such as this one.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: New 2K11 Screenshot Comparison
MLB2k10 was not jaggies galore. The main thing that was jaggied up was the pitchers mound which was later patched, and fixed that problem. The other thing that has some jaggies were some of the outfield decks and signs. Every sports game has this including other sports. All sports games have jaggies to some extent. Also judgeing from both these pics, it's clear that mlb2k11 pic looks better compared to that mlb2k10 pic, doctored or not.Last edited by Artman22; 11-29-2010, 09:38 PM.NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.Comment

Re: New 2K11 Screenshot Comparison
Art, did you have it for 360 or PS3? The PS3 version was pretty ugly. It was so jaggy it rivaled M.C. Escher's paradoxical staircase painting. I can't speak for the 360 version.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I had it for the 360. At first it had a lot of jaggies on the mound, outfield decks, and signs, but after the second patch they fixed most of them. I never played it on the ps3 though so I don't know how it was on it.NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.Comment

Re: New 2K11 Screenshot Comparison
I gotta agree here. The PS3 version didn't utilize the AA method the PS3 is capable of. The PC version was easily anti aliased though. It looked the best in that aspect.Comment
