Slow motion animations

When stealing a base, a lot of times the runner breaks into slow motion when starting a slide, assuring they'll be out. Happens almost every single time at third. I've tried using specific slides, hoping that would help, but they never slide the way I tell them to in game situations. It works every time in drills, but never in games.

Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

That animation is trigger by a user setting which can be turned-OFF if you like. I don't remember which setting it is. sry

I never knew this could be turned off, at least from my experience. The problem with all the stealing situations are that they are all canned animations (besides when the catcher does not attempt to throw the runner out), and that's why you'll see guys slow down and why you won't see an errant throw. If it can be turned off, then that would've increased my experience with the game. I never heard/saw anything about an option for it, but I'm not saying you're wrong because I obviously don't know everything about this game and could've missed something.
