Well, if 2K10 doesn't have it, then I doubt 2K11 would. Kind of strange they take that route when MLB 10 The Show offers it. I mean, having the option to use Auto Fielding would be a smart move, at least not turning away customers who like that feature. The old MVP Baseball series also had auto fielding.

Does anyone else see the irony in this thread hilarious?

Last year most people were complaining that the fielders were TOO automatic and now some are wanting the fully automatic versions. I know they are completely different but it just struck me as funny. Based on the reports is sounds like they spent the last year making the fielding less automatic.

I was just imagining the VC Team reading this thread and putting their heads in their hands, sighing and writing down the note...."Add option for automatic fielding".

I have a very British sense of humor so maybe it is just me...

I'm right there with you. My only real fear with the new fielding is that all of the folks that complained last year are going to start complaining this year when they start screwing up in the field. Then thy will say that the controls are not tight enough and blah, blah, blah...

What gamers want is that annoying and impossible thing to deliver. They want fielding to allow them to mess up, but so easy that they never do. Becasue one thing I have learned at OS, it doesn't matter what sport it is, when someone is bad at a game, they always blame the game.

Completely agree...I really look forward to messing up a play and not catching a ball in the outfield because I wasn't quick enough or precise enough with my controls but I'm sure there are lots that won't feel the same way.

In my dream world, they set up the system with quite a few sliders that allow us to adjust the fielding to our liking and also make it so we can get achievements on any slider settings. That way we can have our cake and eat it to.

Look guys, there is a reason MLB 10 The Show has auto fielding, and the game sells very well. It really is very simple: You put it in the game and if someone doesn't want to use it, guess what?

Auto fielding On and auto fielding Off.
