I hope so, some other game companies have made dramatic turnarounds:

Triple play eventually became the MVP series
NHL series hit rock bottom and came back
NBA Live came back after some miserable years and is still efforting to improve

so I would say there is hope...

I'll give you credit on two of the three. That last statement is completely false in my opinion. Live has been a below average basketball sim for years which ultimately led to EA not even changing the name and not even releasing the game. They were hapless the entire decade.

On the other hand, I believe 2K can make some strides towards improvement. It's hard to believe that this company that put out 2K football at one point, the great NBA 2K series, and the equally good college hoop series, just can't get baseball correct. We will see.

After reading all th info and a couple of dev insights I have 3 words to say.

Shock the world!

IMO, they seem to be going all NBA 2k11 on us. And we all know how that turned out.

IMO, they seem to be going all NBA 2k11 on us. And we all know how that turned out.

It's going to shock us 2k fans...Last years game was good...This one will put it over the top...And we now know they are working with us to make it a great game so it's only going to get better from here.

Yeah, and that's good news for gamers that are big into baseball. I am getting The Show 11, but I'm also leaning heavily towards picking up 2K11. I think 2K, at least from what we have been reading (still would like to see some videos), is poised to take several strides forward this year.

I hope so. Being an XBOX 360 owner this game is my only chance at baseball every year. Last years game was a huge let down. Too many glitches in every aspect of the game. The info that is coming out on this game seems great so far. The game possibly might have a complete overall at least in Franchise mode which is basically all I play. Any word yet on when there might be a demo coming out?

I think 2k will put out a better game this year.

Now the real question is will it be that much better that will allow a purchase. I LOVE baseball. I own the 360 and the PS3 but havent picked up a 2k baseball game since 2k7. I have tried the demos when they come out but none have caught my eye enough to purchase it. Maybe this is the year.....
