last year`s first gameplay video came out at 2/18, we can`t expect they show up before 2/26 this year i think.....

Last year's demo was released AFTER the game came out. Their sales actually dropped from 2K9. Maybe they should realize that doing everything late, particularly for a game with a bad reputation and fighting for market share, is not a good idea. People argue they do everything late and it didn't hurt NBA 2K11. That game is established and people trust it will be good. That's not the case here. A lot of MLB 2K fans in the past feel burnt by them and don't trust them anymore.
They really need to pick up the pace imo and this year's demo better be out before release. I'm not buying this game blindly. I'm optimistic about the game but I do need to see some improvements in key areas for myself.

As far as the demo goes, you can thank Sony for the late release on the PS3. The 360 demo came out before release. But Sony held it up on the PS3 for reasons you can only assume. Maybe they think releasing it late will cause gamers to go off on 2K in the forums?
What's funny is that we had this same discussion last year. And then 2K released a ton of gameplay videos and everyone forgot how mad they were that that the info was so late.
The game is coming out a week later this year than last. The videos will come when 2K thinks it will work the best. They might be totally wrong. They may think it was too early last year, and hurt sales.
They are fully aware that Sony is a big gorilla that they have to deal with. I can't spend too much time worrying if they misplay how to market their game against the overwhelming favorite in a way to maximize sales. It's not my butt on the line, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt about when to release their advertising and PR campaign.

Rumor has it they are doing some sort of revolutionary million dollar contest where you have to try and throw a perfect game... I sure hope we get some info on that
