How do you envision it working? It sounds like you play a lot less. I seriously think it sounds like a super annoying way to play a baseball game.
I can see hockey and basketball. But even football ends up being kind of lame.Comment

I see your point, but at the same time, why not have it? The more options, the merrier. I know its baseball, but I can see tons of people having a blast playing a franchise with their friends, sibling, etc. I wouldn't see a problem with it. I won't use it of course, but for online play I may.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

I'm not going to say it is terrible to have. But I can think of a ton of stuff I'd rather see VC pay a team to do than come up with a co-op feature that looks better as a bullet point than an actual gameplay mode.
Why not have mode wear we play wiffle ball? Heck, I liked mini rink and pond hockey. I'd probably actually play wiffle ball.
Really, it comes down to what 2K invested in for this game, and I'm happy none of it got sacrificed for bullet point.Comment

Re: What We Know About MLB 2K11 So Far (List)
I do have one concern about the variable strike zone. I hope that it is consistent throughout the game, i.e. the ump consistently gives the outside corner of a right handed batter, calls it tight inside, etc. I want to be able to figure out the strike zone of the umpire for each game, not have to deal with a zone that changes pitch-to-pitch or AB to AB. A strike zone that is not by-the-book is fine, just as long as it is consistent throughout the game and I can adjust to it both as a batter and pitcher.Comment

Great news for the guys in PAL territories as this game appears to be getting a local release, at least here in Australia! I guess that means a UK release as well.
This is really great news as we have asked for years for a PAL release and were ignored. I'm really glad I'll be able to play on the 360 this year instead of importing the PS3 version.Comment

Um....you have watched umpires in real life right? Sometimes what you describes does happen in real life but there are some umps who are inconsistent as heck. It would be a nice touch to introduce a rotating set of say 12 umpires (3 ump teams) in the game and have them have specific umpiring styles. I would rather see that.Comment

Co-op team play is great. Along with a friend of mine, I played 162 games of a season on All Star Baseball 99(i think). It was a ton of fun playing together. We divided the fielders amongst ourselves and had our designated pitchers. We also tried to do the lineup so it would alternate between the two of us. It was the most fun I've had in any baseball game..ever.Prototype Supreme
