Man that sucks when you find the team you want, but I have an idea hit Y or Triangle at the pick your jearsy page and I think you can pick the time of the game if that helps.

62-37, 5 Games ahead of Boston & Tampa with my Yankees Franchise

Just acquired Jair Jurjeens from a terrible Atlanta team.

      Braves Got:
      Ivan Nova: 7-3 3.44 ERA
      A 4* Catcher in Double A.

      Yanks Got:
      Jair Jurjeens: 4-8 4.20 ERA

      In my first start with Jurjeens, he went 7 innings, only allowed 1 ER, but allowed quite a few walks. Its gonna be a blast goin deep into the playoffs with this rotation;

      CC Sabathia: 10-4 3.69 ERA
      AJ Burnett: 8-6 4.22 ERA
      Andy Petitte: 5-3 3.93 ERA
      Jair Jurjeens: 4-8 4.20 ERA
      Freddt Garcia: 4-5 3.22 ERA

And Phil Hughes, who was 5-1 with 2.12 ERA before Injury, will move to setup role along with Rafeal Soriano.

        Re: MLB2K11 Franchise Progress

Update on my Orioles franchise (Year 3):

This year has been a tale of two halves: one before the AS break, and one after. With very much the same roster, I was up to 18 games over .500 at my peak, but now am just 7 games over and barely clinging to a 1.5 game lead in the AL East with 3 weeks to go. That lead was 8 at one point

This is a bit of an echo from Year 1, where I had a stunning collapse in September to fall out of first place and into third, finishing with a .500 record. This year, my fall has been more tortuous and prolonged as it started a few months ago despite lineup shuffles, a major trade, and few major injuries. At one point last month I lost 16 of 20.

I do still control my own destiny, as the Sawx and Rays are just 1.5 and 2 games behind respectively, but I play both 3 more times. Hopefully I can just hold them off for another 20 days!

        Couple items of note:

Nolan Riemold, after spending much of the year in AAA, has come up and put up a .358 AVG, 17 HRs, and 56 RBI campaign in under half a season! This helps, as Adam Jones has never regained his power after his major injury earlier in the year and sits at 8 HRs and a .280 AVG. Felix Pie has also found his bat finally having been given the starting OF opportunities due to injuries. He is putting up decent numbers this year despite limited playing time and has over a .300 AVG, 14 HRs, and 58 RBIs hitting lead off in place of the ice cold (and oft injured) Brian Roberts.

Joe Mauer's power stroke has gone missing. He has only 1 HR this year for the middle of the pack Twinkies. It should be noted he missed over a month with a strained ACL.

The White Sox are the MLBs best team. They have the strongest power lineup top to bottom, with 4 guys closing in on 35 HRs, and 7 of 9 starters closing in on 15 HRs. At the complete opposite of the spectrum are the Seattle Mariners who have no power, pitching, or hope for the future and are the worst team in the AL.

Here are the division leaders as of now:

        AL East
Baltimore Orioles (yay...but for how much longer?)

        AL Central
        Chicago White Sox

        AL West
Oakland Athletics (with the Rangers nipping at their heels)

        NL East
        Philadelphia Phillies

        NL Central
        Milwaukee Brewers (defending NLCS champs)

        NL West
Los Angeles Dodgers (with a 12.5 game lead )

I've got a lot of time today and tomorrow (vacation from work this week ) so I hope to finish up the regular season tonight or tomorrow. I'll update accordingly...hopefully to brag with some good news?

          Re: MLB2K11 Franchise Progress

Have recently started an Orioles franchise. Still debating on which team to use for my other. Im open for suggestions. Anyways, right now my Orioles are 4-2. We are leading the Yankees by .5 games for first place in the East. Its a tight division right now, last place Boston is only 3 games back. I have made some small trades, nothing too big. Averages are quite high because its early in the season.

          Lineup
          2B Brian Roberts .424 1HR 8RBI
          CF Felix Pie .345 0HR 7RBI
          DH Vladimir Guerrero .414 2HR 13RBI
          LF Luke Scott .423 1HR 4RBI
          3B Mark Reynolds .261 2HR 2RBI
          C Matt Wieters .292 0HR 0RBI
          RF Nick Markakis .172 0HR 0RBI
          1B Derrek Lee .292 0HR 0RBI
          SS J.J. Hardy .364 0HR 1RBI

          Bench
          C Jake Fox .500 0HR 0RBI
          SS Cesar Izturis .000 0HR 0RBI
          3B Josh Bell .200 0HR 0RBI
          LF Nolan Reimold .000 0HR 0RBI

          Pitching
          SP Zach Britton 1-1 3.77ERA 16K
          SP Jeremy Guthrie 1-1 5.06ERA 4K
          SP Chris Volstad 1-0 3.00ERA 4K
          SP Justin Duchscherer 0-0 6.75ERA 2K
          SP Brian Matusz 1-0 1.42ERA 5K

          LR Joe Blanton 0-0 9.00ERA 0K
          LR Jake Arrieta 0-0 13.50ERA 0K
          MR Brad Bergesen 0-0 0.00ERA 0K
          MR Chris Sale 0-0 0.00ERA 2K
          MR Mark Hendrickson 0-0 1.42ERA 3K
          SU Koji Uehara 0-0 0.00ERA 2K
          CL Kevin Gregg 0-0 0.00ERA 1K

          On the DL we have...
          CL Michael Gonzalez 0-0 0.00ERA 3K
          CF Adam Jones .000 0HR 0RBI

One of my biggest goals is to really get a good grounded pitching staff.

Our last game was against the Texas Rangers.
          Rangers 0 8Hits 1Error
          Orioles 6 13Hits 0Errors

          J.Guthrie W
          A. Ogando L

Brian Roberts came up big with 4RBI, including a 3RBI homer in a 4 run sixth inning.

            Re: MLB2K11 Franchise Progress

Haven't played in a couple weeks, so I haven't posted. But I just got a couple games in.

D'Backs got a little bit of revenge on me for the 3 game sweep / absolute beatdown earlier in the year. They took the first game 9-3.

I'd get the win back with a win in game 2 of the series. Game 3 is up next. Unfortunately, I lost Aubrey Huff for about a month and a half in the 9-3 loss. Called up Travis Ishikawa from AAA to fill in. He made his season debut going 2-2 with a double and an RBI.

Currently 19-17, 3rd in the NL West, 1.5 GB of the Rockies for 1st.

              Re: MLB2K11 Franchise Progress

hey guys using the Indians and just like in real life as of right now, hard to score runs. first game I lost 5-1 to the White Sox. Carmona pitched well, went 7 innings but gave up a 3 run bomb to Rios in the 5th that gave them a 3-1 lead. Had opportunities to tie it but couldn't get that clutch hit.

So I put Grady on the block. Nothing much stood out but the White Sox offered up Adam Dunn. This deal would give me that big pop that I desparately need. Grady has one year left on his deal. Only thing is it would give me a whole in the outfield. Maybe I could try to move Laporta or Halfner to get a good outfielder to fill the whole of trading Grady. I know it's not quite realistic but I'm thinking about taking the deal. My projected lineup after the deal would be...

              Brantley
              Cabrera
              Dunn
              Halfner
              Santana
              Choo
              Laporta
              O. Cabrera
              Buck / Duncan
              Hanhhan

              Thoughts?

Season 1 of my Jays franchise is now over and the Jays won the World Series! I won the series in five games, with Jose Bautista being named the World Series MVP. It was a great season for my team and I look forward to doing it again in 2012.

Currently sit at 11-2 with the Rangers, pretty realistic considering they started 10-3 in real life. I'm still destroying the ball on offense, with the exception of a couple players including Kinsler who is only hitting .230. Pitching has been on and off for me. I had a stretch of a few games where I gave up 5 runs or more, but these last three games my pitchers have thrown complete games allowing one and two runs.

Nice . Just don't suck next year(). Just hitting how many HR's Bautista hit in the playoffs(including the WS). And the regular season.

Man that sucks about Kinsler when I just play a quick game with the Rangers I basically always Power Swing with him. He always crushes them to. Don't feel bad about the pitching it's not always that great. Buts its great when it's working anyways.

Need the power from Dunn for sure. Choo and Santana will help. O Cabrera will hopefully help. Brantley should be decent, but consistent.

Athletic's really good pitching, but down right horrible hitting. Orioles won't ever do that again for a while ( still saying wow and spitting water, but definetly no offense man ). Dodgers have the same story as the A's bad hitting great pitching. Might lead the divison again, but not with a 12.5 game lead.

Keep in mind this is 3 years into my Franchise, so not year 1. All teams have made numerous changes to their roster in that time.
