One more quick observation........when I hit a fly ball I sometimes have a hard time seeing the ball, i loose sight of it in the sky. I got a top of the line TV so it aint that, just tough to track the ball in flight sometimes is all. Enjoying the demo

I think the intent is for it to mimic real life a little more. Instead of watching the ball, watch the fielders. That is going to tell you where it is going. You can't hit a ball and stare at it.

In some ways, it is like True Aim in TW 11, in that you don't really get a good view of where it lands. I find that I am appreciating the new hitter's cam the more I play.

Thanks to whoever it is that confirmed that classic controls are still in the game. I will probably use that for hitting but will try the pitching mechanics as it is now though.

Oh and thanks for all the reviews so far. I think I will definitely be picking this up

I played the show demo yesterday and after playing 2k's today i would say that 2k isnt far away from being on the same level as the show. That said here are a few pluses and minuses with 2k11

              Pluses
+ball coming off the bat felt good
+fielding feels very organic, no weird sliding motions
              +sky and field look great

              Negatives
-after the ball is hit I found it hard to see where the ball was. Especially pop ups and fly balls.
-shadows are too dark pixely. I know that's a minor gripe but I expected better.

After seriously considering selling all of my 360 stuff to get a ps3 and the show I will now be reconsidering. 2k has closed the gap, thats for sure.
              Noda,

They put in a new camera angle after the ball is hit this year. I am not a big fan of it either because you cannot see the ball in the air where as in real life the batter would be able to look up and track the ball. They wanted to get the feel of the batters point of view. I am hoping we can change this angle in the retail version.

Just played a game of the demo on PS3.

                  +Stadium looks great
                  -Player faces look bad
                  +Pitching is great as always
-No Commentary in the demo? One of the best parts about the series is completely left out of the demo, at least on PS3.
+Love the Hitting to Fielding Camera transition when batting.
                  -Blurry stadium when batting.

I just hit a walk-off home run with Freddy Sanchez. Two things happend, 1st thing was all the player icons on base said "H" which kinda gave away that it was a homer and secondly players from the dugout came and huddled around the plate to celebrate!!!

What exactly is ludicrous about it?

Since I have not had a chance to D/l the PS3 demo yet, I can only assume the pitching system is the same as last year. If this is the case, then I have to agree with him. It is just such a random system. There is no real baseball "feel" to the motions you are going through to throw the pitches.

It's like they sat in their meetings last year and someone said, "Hey, lets use the sticks this year. Lets just give each pitch a random movement with the stick, and if you do it just right, you will always throw it to the spot you want. If you don't move it just right, it'll go somewhere else."

Someone else pipes up and says, "But wont it be too easy to throw strikes? Plus, that random motion doesn't give you any real baseball feeling."

Then another guy responds, "Well, at least we'll have analog controls, and The Show wont. That'll be our selling point.... 'Hey guys, so what if we have a ton of bugs, at least we have analog controls'..."

I mean, The Shows new pitching controls are kinda lame too, but at least they have a baseball feel to them. Kinda of a Rock n Fire motion.

                          Did anyone else notice this?

During certain match up's while you are batting sometimes it will say "Bad matchup against the pitcher" i think it says. That is confusing because looking at the batter ratings it actually should be "Good matchup against the pitcher". Can someone explain why they used "bad" matchup when its actually a good matchup for the batter vs the pitcher?

Also, I am hoping we can change the view after the ball is put into play on offense. I just don't dig it. You lose the ball in the air because the camera does not look up high enough. In real life the batter can just move his eyes up or his head and track the ball. I get the idea of why they did this, to get a more batters perspective of things. I think if it actually panned up when there is a fly ball I would like this a lot more. Hopefully we can change this in the retail version.
