Loving it so far, 2k have just nailed the pitching! Liking how after each pitch the catcher throws the ball back to the pitcher and then he walks back to the mound instead of just instantly teleporting back to the mound like last year.Hating Collingwood and umpires since 1979Comment

re: MLB 2K11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (PS3/360)
Just saw the 2nd baseman misplay a ball but he was still able to get me out on a close play at first base.
I'm really liking the camera angle once the ball is put into play (Im batting)."I've Altered The Deal..."Comment

The new Hitting Camera angle is awesome. Game plays smoothly. The animations look smooth also. The RTP still needs some smoothing out. The animations of runners rounding bases during replays looks better.
DEMO is only 3 innings.
Gotta get to work. Will check-in laterComment

re: MLB 2K11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (PS3/360)
The Good:
- The bat during check swings stops where you tell it to now. Also, the pitcher won't start his delivery until after the call has been made at 1st/3rd.
- Hitting camera is fantastic
- Bobbled a ball at second, overthrew the 1st basemen trying to make a desperate throw
- Fielders do not powerslide to their position anymore. During pickles, the running and throwing animations are amazingly better.
- Ball physics are very believable. It ricoches off of walls and dirt the way you'd expect it to.
- Good hit variation. Homered with Burrell and Cruz, got some gapper doubles with Moreland and Beltre. Stole a base with Kinsler and Borbon.
-
The Bad:
- very poor framerate when the ball is hit occasionally, happens especially with foul balls and pop flies.
- Catcher magically had possession of a ball that wasn't close to him. I chucked it home with Borbon, and it was maybe 2 feet to his left, but then it teleported into his glove.Comment

re: MLB 2K11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (PS3/360)
About to head to work so I will get these in now......
Like the pitching, can already tell the difference in umpiring. I love the new fielding system as well. I have to get used to the new meter but you can easily tell the difference between a good thrower and bad thrower. Same with fielding. Saw a couple of pop-ups, something new to the game. I love the new view when the ball is put in play by yourself. Played a couple of games and will play a lot more when I get back in this evening. Just wanted to post a couple good things. I'm sure this thread will be super long once I get in from work. Later gamers!Yankees & Nationals - The American Way!Comment

re: MLB 2K11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (PS3/360)
My experience is that demos usually come out on the PS3 in the early evening. I'm on the east cost and I see them up around 6:00 or 7:00pm. That said I don't know if they have a set time. I just keep checking every hour or so if I'm home.Comment

re: MLB 2K11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (PS3/360)
Just played a game before work and I was not too impressed. The new infield throw meter was nice, but the game looks awful imo. The between-play cut-scenes are just so bad--it destroys the immersion factor.
They just keep showing Zito staring into space like a zombie. I don't know, there's nothing exciting or interesting during the game to keep you involved. The hitting camera looked choppy as well and there were jaggies evreywhere--this could be demo-related, of course, but who knows.Comment
