Is it possible to hit a homerun with button swing

I don't think this qualifies as a demo impression. Does anyone know if its possible to hit a homerun with button swing? Or is it just a contact swing?

Do you mean contact swing? I have played a bunch of demo games and only hit hr's with power swing.

Yes. Definitely. I have hit several with the 'A' button on the 360.

Last year the button swing = contact swing which doesn't have nearly as much power. It's possible to hit HRs that way but it's much harder.

I was wondering this myself. Talking here about using "button' swinging.

Is there a slider that adjusts ONLY human power, that would probably solve the problem if there is a lack of power.

You think seeing as there is only one option for button swinging, X button on PS3, that it would be different than a contact swing using analog (power wise) as it has two options, power and contact. But who knows for sure.

Good to hear. I use the stick, but last year I remember reading that there weren't enough homeruns with classic hitting, so I'm glad it's been addressed.

I don't think it was as bad as some made it out to be, but compared to the stick, it was definitely gimped. I'll be happy to see that it got addressed (though even though I am not a fan of analog hitting, I will probably still use analog in 2K).

2k11 demo. If I had to average it out... over each 3 innings, I hit about one every other game and mostly with Texas. I've had less with the San Fran bats.

Funny thing is I was using the analog stick, pulling back and going for the homer only to get fly outs or ground outs. I tried the Classic mode and finally hit my first homer with Adrian Beltre off Zito.

In one game on the demo I hit home runs with the classic controls with I. Kinsler, J. Hamilton, and M. Moreland.

Were they all fastballs? I made great contact with all three you mentioned only to get fly outs, ground outs, or liner outs.
