Re: 360/PS3
Game looks nothing remotely close on the ps3 to the 360
I have both consoles and both demos downloaded and the color pallet is sweet and lush on the 360. The grass looks green and not ivory green like the ps3
Also the ps3 has no AA which makes the jaggies that much more prevelant on the PS3
2K has never made a game on ps3 that has been identical to the 360
I know is a port but it is a very bad port. It is unfortunate because many have a ps3 but this game if they have both consoles should be purchased on the 360
I still plan on dropping the 120.00 tomorrow for both games(MLB2K11 on 360/MLB11-TS PS3).
I was very unpleasantly surprised at how poor the MLB2k11 demo looked and ran for ps3. I expierienced a ton of frame stuttering on top of all that. A lot was made about the NBA2k comparisons on both consoles. While that was noticable, this to me is GLARING.
It probably wouldn't stick out as much if I didn't switch between tv inputs to compare the two demo's back and forth.
Luckily, PS3 only owner still can play The Show, and have an option.Comment

That 2nd pic pretty much says it all I think. Dalewood was right.
The textures and everything else were identical, with a slight edge to the PS3 for more shadowing.
I do know the PS3 and 360 have different contrast standards, and most games are darker on the 360 due to developers not tuning the standards and leaving them default.
Where as some other games are fine and will look the same via contrast (Dead Space, etc) when tuned properly.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: 360/PS3
Yup the contrast is much higher on the 360 which brings out the Color. The field on the PS3 looks like Ivory Color instead of Green.
Also the lack of AA is much shown in the mound around the edges, there is jaggies all over the PS3
Shawdow details is better on PS3 but that to me is more to do with the washed out colors more then anthing.Comment

Re: 360/PS3
Thanks for that. I do not own a 360, so it was hard for me to imagine what all this fuss is about. Now that I have seen the two side by side, yeah one is lighter and the other darker.Comment

The diff is more then just darker and brighterComment

Thats your opinion on the color scheme. I really dont know what the heck a jaggie is or does, and dont care.Comment

Re: 360/PS3
Judging by those comparisons, the only difference was the contrast. Which would effect color fidelity.

I tried that with NBA2k...but once you see a 2k game in motion on the 360 you realize that attempts to equalize the Ps3 version's visual shortcomings by fiddling with TV settings is utterly futile.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"
