Re: Official MLB 2K11 - Q&A Thread
Still not following you here. Are you saying there was no runner on first? In that case it was a bad move for Rollins to go to third. But your original post said runners on first and second, which obviously would compel Rollins to break for third regardless of how many outs.Last edited by DirtyJerz32; 03-07-2011, 10:01 PM.Moderator

Re: Official MLB 2K11 - Q&A Thread
With first base open, a runner on 2nd base should stay at 2nd base on a ground ball to the left side. I saw some bad logic in the demo and in 2K10 with regards to base running situations. The weird thing is they don't always repeat them. Maybe they are trying to create a situation where a runner just screws up? I do think it's wonky programming most of the time though. For example, a runner on 3rd base should ALWAYS stay on 3rd base and wait to tag even if he's 99% sure the ball will fall in (ie. no cheating a few steps towards home). It's a cardinal rule. Also with runners on 1st and 3rd, the runner should almost always go home on a ground ball to A) try to score and B) keep them from going for the double play if possible and yet I've seen a runner on 3rd just stay there on a ground ball to the right side. That's bad base running AI imo. It's not enough to really bother me but these types of things happen a little too often in the game.Comment

I had another play just like with Rollins running and it didn't happen. Not sure why Rollins would run in that situation. Maybe it was an isolated thing.Moderator

Re: Official MLB 2K11 - Q&A Thread
In Impressions you mentioned the infield line drives. I noticed this in the demo, it seemed that every other hit was a weak liner to SS or 2B.
Are you still loving the game or are things starting to bother you now that you are aware of them?
Is the game fun?
The line drives bothered me and when the batter missed while batting. It looks like he is swinging a wiffle bat.. That animation needs to be slowed down by half.Gamertags

Oh man, then Pujols will never stop in this game! I love the guy, but thinks a stop sign means full steam ahead.Comment

I'd hate to have to deal with this but perhaps the day 1 patch will address it.Gamertags

Re: Official MLB 2K11 - Q&A Thread
I wonder if a power slider would fix that. Is there a slider to adjust the hit types (like in the other game)? I can't think of what its called but it adjusts balls are on the ground or line drives.

That would probably fix the issue.Moderator
