Re: Where is The Franchise/My Player Dev Diary?
I'm sure it'll be sometime tonight, otherwise it'd be pointless to even release it. Ronnie says there's "a lot of text" so maybe it goes into great detail about what they added/fixed."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: Where is The Franchise/My Player Dev Diary?
I hope they add ways to make a coaching staff matter this year. Other wise they are point less.
I would the see that in spring training you chose a player to do a certain work out for that day, Like work on power vs left hand picther or fielding range ie. And having a good staff would impact how will the player would improve the rating for whatever stat they work on for the season. I think they can really make the game by adding this training feature.Comment

Re: Where is The Franchise/My Player Dev Diary?
anything new on this? I'm interested to see this thing before I head out for a midnight release, might pick up 2k11 if something in franchise peaks my interestYou do what you want in your association, don't let others ruin the fun. Re: Where is The Franchise/My Player Dev Diary?
We are trying. I just found out it's like 12 pages of pure text! There's a lot to say about those two modes.
But that info is going to be valuable before or after launch. So while I hear you, you'll gain a lot from reading this thing period."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: Where is The Franchise/My Player Dev Diary?
::sadface:: Still, nothing much to do till midnight anyhow, so maybe just maybe something gets out tonight. I agree with you though, based on that reply, my hope starts to dwindle. ::sadface::
EDIT: on one hand though, I am a little disappointed. Editing text for publishing is not something that takes an incredible amount of time. On top of that, you decide willy nilly to have a dev diary on the night before release when you have nothing prepped to release, or, you knew you wanted to have a dev diary the night before release, and didn't bother to prep anything till the day of said dev diary. Either way, it's a bit of a sloppy approach to it.Last edited by Neolithic; 03-07-2011, 08:44 PM. Re: Where is The Franchise/My Player Dev Diary?
Classic Ronnie.......sheesh, in the time he spent posting those twitter updates, couldn't he have uploaded the text or worked on proofreading it or whatever it takes to make it happen.....it would just be nice to see it be a priority to get this sort of thing done before launch.....but oh well I guess.Comment

Seems to me if you have a product you were really confident of and were sure consumers are going to like, which I think they do, that you'd want to go on an all-out media blitz, telling and showing everyone and his uncle how great your game is going to be.It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.
