 Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Thread

Summary of bug: A player on my team is injured at 2B. I replace him with a pinch runner as per the pop-up screen. When I click "yes" to send in the pinch runner, the "pinch runner" appears at the plate ready to take an at-bat and there is no longer a runner on 2B. The pause screen shows the right substitution was made though it does not show the right hitter at the plate and deleted my runner at 2B.
Game Mode you were playing: Franchise
What happened to trigger it? Runner at 2nd base being injured (day-to-day)
Can you reproduce it? If so, how?: I can't generate injuries so I doubt I could but it looks like a similar incident was reported earlier.
 Video/Picture proof: No.Comment

 Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Thread

This one is really disappointing... Was playing the playoff game mode and I got to game 5 of the NLCS and realized that the format is screwed up. I was the Cardinals and had just won game 4 in St. Louis only to go back to Philadelphia for game 5. I have no idea if it will shift back to St. Louis for game 6 (similar to the NHL format for 7 game playoff series) because I didn't actually play game 5.

To Clarify. I made the Cardinals the wild card team and got to the NLCS vs. the Phillies. They (the Phils) had home field advantage and we played games 1 and 2 in Philly then played games 3 and 4 in St. Louis only to go back to Philly for game 5. Could somebody please verify that this isn't some weird option for the playoffs that I accidentally switched?

Do these guys make any effort to test this out? Also, who in their right mind programmed the playoff format wrong? Has that person ever watched the playoffs before? I'll also post this in the other bug/glitch thread as well.

Could somebody help me out and post this at the 2K forum? This is kind of big. Comment

 Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Thread

 Summary of bug:

Double plays are difficult to turn when there is a ground ball near the bag at 2nd. I don't know, I may just have the timing down wrong, but if you try to flip the ball there usually is a delay before the flip that results in the runner being safe. If you take it to the bag and then throw, there usually is a delay after you step on the bag, which again results in the runner being safe.

Like I say, I may just have the timing down wrong, but it seems somewhat difficult to achieve any sort of fluidity on what should be an easy double play.

 Game Mode you were playing:

 Any.

 What happened to trigger it?

Double play ball up the middle.

Can you reproduce it? If so, how?:

Yes, get a grounder up the middle with a runner on 1st.

 Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Thread

 Summary of bug:

Twice now I've had runners thrown out at first after a sharply hit ball to RF. I haven't changed any of the fielding or running sliders, and this really shouldn't happen at all, let alone twice.

Perhaps something could be done to prevent the right fielder from even making an attempt to throw runners out at first. Yeah you will occasionally see a right fielder try to throw guys out at first, but it's so rare that it might just be better to make sure it doesn't happen at all.

Like I say, twice in such a short period of time is already way too often.

 Game Mode you were playing:

 Any.

 What happened to trigger it?

 Sharply hit ball to RF.

Can you reproduce it? If so, how?:

It's happened twice, but it's not really something I can reproduce.

 Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Thread

First, that play up the middle doesn't always have a delay causing you to miss the double play. I've turned double plays on grounders up the middle, and there have been a few times when I didn't get him at first. I think it's more about timing than a being a bug or glitch. This one is really disappointing... I probably should register for that forum but so far I have had 2 legitimate reasons to post there in the last 3 years. I guess I just figured that those who were already regular posters on that forum could verify the problem that I found and post in the bug/glitch thread over there. Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Thread

Has anyone found a workaround for the my player freeze?? I have posted on here and 2k but i cant get any results and he has been frozen for over a week now and it is angering. I have looked around and saw that it wasnt on the patch update list so i am wondering if it is considered a bug or what because i cant continue my player anymore. He is frozen at the departing players screen if anyone knows of a workaround.NFL: Houston Texans
NCAA: Ohio State Buckeyes, Houston Cougars

Something is up with that forum, anyway. No posts by anyone in the past few days, and I can't even sign in. I think maybe the entire 2k staff took the weekend off, because Ronnie's twitter hasn't updated in 2 days either.I probably should register for that forum but so far I have had 2 legitimate reasons to post there in the last 3 years. Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Thread

Not sure if this is a bug/glitch or intended, but Inside Edge in Franchise when pitching shows the hot/cold zones for only the first pitch. I am pretty sure it stays on for all pitches in Play Now mode.

This can easily be reproduced by having Inside Edge with pitching in Franchise mode.Comment

I know there is a option in the presentation settings to have IE on for first pitch only, all pitches or off.Not sure if this is a bug/glitch or intended, but Inside Edge in Franchise when pitching shows the hot/cold zones for only the first pitch. . If I am not really careful, sometimes my swing input will linger just long enough after I make contact to influence my baserunners. If I get a hit, and don't notice and correct the mistake, sometimes a guy running to first to beat out the throw will have been directed (by me accidentally) to run to third base. His speed changes because instead of running through the bag he will slow down to make the turn to second base. Or, I can have a man on 2nd and after I hit a deep fly ball, he misses the opportunity to tag up and advance to 3rd because he was already running there. The time that it takes him to stop halfway and run back to tag up has eliminated any chance to be safe should I still send him. I know that I should just be more careful, but it seems that maybe they could shorten the input time for baserunning from being immediately after contact to a half second or a full second. This would allow any lagging input by the user from batting to not cause silly baserunning errors.
