The 2K Sports games have been like this since switching over to current-gen (2K6). I'm not sure if there's an option to change that.

I just changed the settings on my xbox. Kind of annoying. Oh well.

I do not understand by wide screen.

If your xbox is set to 1080p then it is auto wide screen right?

He might be on a standard tube using composite cables, and he's getting a 16:9 display on his game with a 4:3 screen, leaving black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. Like I said, this has been prevalent since 2K6 as a defaulted option.
