The one thing I don't get is with runners on first and third, how do you advance, take a lead, with just the player at first base? Using "A" button (360) just makes the batter bunt.

Re: Baserunning question.
I know LT (360) advances and holding it for steal, but my question is with runners on first and third and trying to steal with just the player on first, or just leading off with the runner on first. I don't know how to select the runner at first when there are runners on 1st and 3rd. I know how to advance both players, but not just the man on first.Comment

When I press A button, the batter tries to bunt. Maybe it's another button...or maybe you can't do it with 360?Comment

Re: Baserunning question.
I've only played the Show the past 3 years and I used auto baserunning then. However, I really like the system in 2k11. Once you get the hang of it, I think you will be happy to have some control on being aggressive or conservative at your own will without having to put too much thought into it.

Re: Baserunning question.
I also find baserunning to be just fantastic in this series. Once you wrap you head around it, it is actually simple and intuitive. Just hit the trigger to get the lead runner set to where you want him to go, then tap A and control the runner behind him.

Re: Baserunning question.
By default, the X Button is bunt. Tapping A should always switch baserunners. Maybe there is a button set-up you selected in options?
But you can absolutely do this on the 360.Comment

Re: Baserunning question.
I wonder if the issue is me using Classic mode for hitting? If not, I do have two 360 controllers but pretty sure it happens with both. Yes, the X button is for bunting, but maybe I need to hold left trigger and press A button?Comment

Re: Baserunning question.
Ok here is how i think it works, lol. When you are batting using classic mode the A button swings the bat so if you have two runners on base and by default you are given control of the lead runner at third base but you want to control the runner at 1st base you switch control by using the B button. Now when your runners are running the bases after you get a hit you then use the A button to switch control of the runners. Now i'm using PC so hope i have the button switching correct. If you were using Analog hitting the A button would switch control of runners all the time. I think, lol.Comment
