Classic Pitching Problem

I bought the PC version today and by default it was set to classic pitching, which I hate, and, strangely, total control batting. When trying to change pitching to TC, I found that it's stuck on classic. The game simply doesn't allow me to switch to total control. I should note that I use a cheap Chinese controller, but it worked flawlessly in last year's game and that doesn't explain why TC batting works fine in this year's.

Is anybody else having this problem, or am I just crazy? I hope this is able to be fixed because it's really a deal-breaker in an otherwise good game.

It was on total control by default for me so yes something is most certianly wrong.

Mine came with the Total Control set as default for both. I finally found the place to change it and after i did my controller went haywaire so i shut the game down. I'll try again today.

I tried hitting with the stick, but it was awful.

I found this over mvpmods as someone was having problems as well, maybe it will work for you.

Go to options/mycontroller/control setup/scroll down to swing/ push left stick in(not left,right,up,down).The menue to choose classic pitching and batting will appear. It will be saved for your franchise. This is for a 360 controller for pc, I dont know about any others.

This worked. Thank you. When I used the left controller stick instead of the 4 key, I was able to change the pitching setting. Odd.

Thanks for that, that's well hidden! LOL Somehow my franchise decided to change itself from default to classic pitching. I looked through all the options 4 or 5 times before finally searching theboard and finding the answer here.

I dunno what im doing wrong here.. I can get to the menu with the number 4, but when i scroll down to swing and oush in on the LS (im using a Logitech Rumblepad 2 USB) no menu comes up at all... The game is stuck in its settings and it wont change.. Plus if i change any of the controller options, others change oddly...

Please help

Ok wow, oddly enough LS wasnt set to anything on the bottom of the menu.. I had to assign it to Button 11 (Left click Stick) and now it works..

I got the PC version yesterday and my PC won't play it. Guess I'm stuck with the Console
