PC version just arrived, installing now and playing shortly. How many of you guys use a wired 360 controller? That's what I have...is it working good?

Yeah, that is what I'm using. I also got the game today.

The game plays decently, there are a few things that bother me while playing but what can you do?

It 'kinda' reminds me of a visually polished MVP 05.

Besides some of the goofy animations and jerky fielding, poor AI decisions .. its not a bad game.

The game really does need fielding assist though. There have been times where it would have prevented runs being scored because you think you should be controlling one outfielder, so you move in one direction only to find out the other fielder is selected and you're running the wrong way. Since you already made a break in the other direction, you can't recover fast enough and the ball is rolling off of the wall.


There have been a few occasions (in one game mind you) where the CPU could have easily turned a double play but opted to toss the ball to first. Like there wasn't anybody on 1st base.


But, the game is fun. The presentation is great. The game is ultra crisp at 2560x1440 resolution. The player models and faces aren't the best but its all about fun, right?

Overall, I think it will be a decent game. I have that one PS3 game too but I like this because it feels different.

I think with some slider tweaks (and perhaps a few MVP Mod tweaks), it could play a good game of baseball.

I got my PC copy installed today as well. I really don't care for the hitting camera, well not so much the camera as much as the fact i can't see the ball when i hit it in the air.

I'm amazed at how much better this game looks on the PC compared to the 360 . And I even have an older graphics card (8800 GTS).

Leading off/ Stealing bases on My Player mode

Does anyone know what keyboard buttons control lead-off and stealing on My Player mode? Can't figure it out for the life of me. Sorry if that's a dumb question.

Yeah, while I am not bashing on the console version at all, the pc version is really beautiful. I think the graphics look just as good as the Show, but in a different way. Having moved it up to 1900x1080 and it running at a constant 60 fps or above, it really does outshine the console by a decent amount.

I'm running at 2560x1440 on a 27" Apple Display and I will say The Show still looks better . 2K on PC (at least on my resolution) is TOO crisp. It gives it almost a cartoon appearance with the lines being too sharp.


They need to fix the dirt textures, because they're really bad. It looks more like dirt colored linoleum. The player models need to be improved too, after all, this is 2011.


I try not to find things wrong and nitpick but they present themselves.

But like I said in an earlier post, the presentation is great and the amount of stats is crazy.

Yup, I've got that card too and can still max it out with good frame rate. Once the uniform, stadium, and equipment mods start showing up, the game will look much better as well.

I just wish there were some good face guys who were dedicated to doing a bunch of them for MLB. In NBA 2K there is much more mod support and the things some of those guys do with faces would REALLY benefit MLB.

Agreed, the show has a very natural look to it. 2K11 looks like a video game, and your description of "too crisp" is spot on. With that being said, if you take out of the "natural" feel and look, they are pretty even on my board.......but absolutely understand your point.

Do you crank the MSAA up all the way too? So far, I only have it on 2x, so I'm not sure if turning it up higher will kill the framerate at all with this card (at 1920 x 1080). I'm trying to get as much life out of this 8800GTS as possible since I paid way too much for it when it first came out, lol.

No, I've got mine at 2x as well. Going up to 8x drops my FPS by about 7-8.
