    Re: PC 2K11

Well, after 4 years, I figure it's time to upgrade my 8800gts, especially since it's struggling with my new monitor (I got a 27" because my eyes are terrible and I'm tired of squinting, lol).

So I just ordered a 5850 from newegg. Only $165 after rebate.....pretty good deal.

      - Civ IV
      - Civ V
      - Mass Effect
      - Mass Effect 2
      - Borderlands
      - Bad Company 2
      - Dragon Age
      - NBA 2K11
      - Madden 08
      - Batman: Arkham Asylum
      - DC Universe
      - World of Warcraft
      - Fallout 3
      - Fallout: New Vegas
      - Dirt 2
      - Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
      - Starcraft 2

But yeah...........it's a "rig" issue. Give me a freaking break. Enough of the fanboy crap.
Whooptie Doo!!! You have a few games, I got over 100 on my PC, but I'm telling you from experience! There are certain titles that are more demanding in areas and specific graphics cards will give you issues and yes rigs can be issues too. Try upgrading your ram to 800mhz ram instead of the standard DDR2 and DDR3 ram.

Also if your using a laptop, that can also be an issue! Desktops seem to need a Power Supply over 600+ watts depending on the graphics card.

Mine is 900 now, also because I have 4 1TB internal HDD's and 2 are dedicated to games.

Like I said," it's a possibility of many things! I build PC and I do a lot of Hardware and software work!"

You don't want to take my opinions and get all bunched up on my answers, don't ask questions. Sometimes the answer isn't what you want to hear, but every opinion helps. Sometimes sound advice is good advice!

Here is my monitor 24" Acer....Strictly for movies and gaming...

No problem. Like I said, they are BigFnJoes.... All I changed was the pitch speed, user contact (which I might have to lower again) and one of the CPU pitch effectiveness. Not sure what that one was called, its not the Pitch success slider though. Its the one below it.

I just figured I'd put them up so the PC users didn't have to input his sliders by hand.

One thing though, the last time I played 2k baseball was 2007 and there used to be a ton of sliders, now not so many. I wonder if rating play a bigger role now or what? I could be wrong but I thought there used to be at least twice as many.

        Anyway....I"m off to work.

Mine was just delivered to the house by UPS this morning, (apparently trying to find this game at an actual store is impossible), so I'll try it tonight, on both my usual monitor and on the hdmi hookup to see if I have the issue. Not too concerned about it though, I'm sure I can find a work around if needed.

I'm not all about the graphics as I think the gameplay has to be there, but I gotta say the screenshots have looked fairly impressive. Especially compared to the demo build I played on the 360. By the end of the weekend I should have started my march to the NL Pennant!

                  Re: PC 2K11

I just played my first full game (PC) and it took me about 1.5 hrs. to complete 9 innings. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or a setting I need to change? I was hoping to get a game in within 40 minutes or so.

Also, how the hell do I see the opposing pitcher's pitch types? I couldn't find it during the game. I didn't know where to find the Inside Edge information either, which I thought was available during a Quick Game.

I like the gameplay. I also have The Show this year. They are both quality games for sure, so we all win!

                  Thanks in advance.

In Play-Now/MLB-Today/Exhibition Games, when you are at bat, moving the D-Pad Left/Right will bring up IE Data for the opposing pitcher. Note: In Franchise Modes, the IE reports must be purchased out of your team budget.

Games are taking a littler longer to play than in last year's game. You can speed up your games by eliminating the Real-Time presentation. Under Opitons>>Presentation. Under Gameflow: Change to Hurry Up.

Before anyone makes another post towards my "on topic comments", there were two posts that were deleted, which were the two I was referencing. PC specs, etc is fine, the two comments that were deleted, were not.

Before someone gets unnecessarily banned for calling out a mod, take a step back, and realize that it's not your post that I was referencing. If someone still wants to call out a mod, then I'll happily show them the road.

Okay, thanks. They didn't show up on Tapatalk , not even as deleted.

Anyway, I feel a weekend of me playing and finally winning some games.

I have this tendency to lose by 1 or 2 and I usually choke (or try too hard) in the later innings.

WTF, or any other Mod, can we get this thread stickied?

I have a feeling that we will lure in more users to the PC side and there are discussions that are related only to the PC game.

Warning: If you do choose "Hurry UP" you will not get stat overlays or any information period about pitchers/substitutions. There is another option called 2K10 that will still give you the overlays and such with reduced time between pitches.

I think I'm getting used to hitting, perhaps too much now.

I had to adjust some sliders again because I was seeing the ball too well.

I also lowered outfielder speed to 10 and infielder to 15 (for both sides). It looks much more realistic and the infielders aren't getting to every ball on the ground.

This was my 2nd game in a row with 20+ hits

well, i just got this game to play on my laptop. i have to turn down most of the bells and whistles and load up xp to play it (linux guy), but, hey, i've finally got a baseball game for the pc. i think i'll just puts around with it and try to learn fielding, and stealing and such before jumping into a season. hopefully a good roster is just around the corner.
