Can it be edited when its exported? Is that where they get the DDS files? And how do you edit the files (like gamedata.iff) where it says its compressed ? I get an error when trying to open it.
Actually, I get the same thing when I try to open the default global.iff but I can open the global.iff that I downloaded from MVPmpods.


I like the dirty ball, I just dont' like the yellow one. I want one that is a little scuffed.
I suppose I can play around with the editor.

I don't know how to mod anything i was just playing around with the editor and figured out how to do it, lol. When i open the nba2k mod tool i just go open file and find the global.iff file and it just opens, there are a few in the 2k folder that won't open though. Yes that is where the dds files are located and the ball is a dds file. I think a lot of the actual editing is done with a free program called paint.net it will open the dss files you export from the .iff files that make up 2k11, google it. To me the ball in the game doesn't really look yellow more the worn look but that could be a difference in our PC's.

It doesn't look yellow to me in game, I think it looks perfect actually but it the cut scenes when the pitcher is holding the ball, then its obvious. I can overlook that though.

I just want to say though, I'm playing a game right now at Minute Maid and since I'm an AL guy (Tigers), I never see this park. Freaking beautiful!!!!!!!!
Its a night game and the time progression looks pretty darn good.


This game is a great game .I questioned it in the beginning and I apologize because I'm loving the heck out of this game.

I was just going to let you know that i just d/l that dirty ball used in 2k9 and it goes into this years game with no problem. I only tried it for a few pitches but think it looks pretty nice. It comes in the global.iff file for 2k9 so open it with the modtool then click on #176 you should see it there. Name it whatever then Export rez to your desktop then open your global.iff that you are using find #226 that is where the ball is this year click import rez then find the dirtyball rez you saved to your desktop click open and your done. Save your original global your using in case you mess up. Here is a link to the modtool in case you don't have it.

Hey you can never have to many baseball games. Right now i'm also playing PYS 2010 (preordered 2011 as well) that is a game you should try sometime if you have a PS3, best gameplay ever imho. There is an excellent translation site and forum where you can get any help you need. http://www.spiritstranslation.com/

Extract the files into a folder , then You run the file named Nba2KXModTool , its an executable Jar file.

I see a lot of you guys are having issues with your jagginess...

Open your graphics card Catalyst in Advanced mode...got to the 3D option.

Change SmoothVision AA: to 4x

AA mode to adaptive!

AF: Smoothvision AA to 16x

MipMap to High Quality

Catalyst A.I.: Should be on standard

push Apply and you should be okay! And no more jaggies!

I've been out of town for the past two days...Just got back today and I'm about to post some images now!!! Including your baseball, it's not yellow, its dirt from the sand bags. Also here are some more 1080p images I'd like to share!

But overall, I'm playing Crysis 2 right now and working on CH 2k11 Project!

I just edited a baseball... Its less white than white but its not obvious enough to look dirty unless you zoom in on it.

I want it to be noticeable but not over done.

I'll work on it tomorrow. I remember my old baseballs having a gray tint to them. I made one (only takes a minute) but it was too light I guess. I realize in the MLB they have new balls all of the time but you know how it is

I was just playing AL Greats vs NL Greats at the Polo Grounds. Boy, is Nolan Ryan tough !

Anyway, I'm off to bed, its 3am here in the states.
