Looks nice and clean on the PC, but what is up with the tarps over the risers on the lights at Fenway?

I'm strongly considering grabbing this for PC and saving $20. However I haven't played a baseball game on PC since MVP 05. A few questions for those who've picked it up already:
          1. Is the feature set the same as the consoles or do we lose things like MLB today
          2. How is the gamepad support? Does anyone play with a 360 controller?
          3. Roster updates - does PC get the same love as consoles?
          4. Mod support - How does it stack up to the great mods we got for the MVP series?

              1. You usually lose some of the features. For example, NBA didn't offer the new menus on the PC version.
              2. The xbox 360 controller works well on newer games. There were a few kinks when 2k first started making PC sports ports.
              3. No, the PC doesn't get as many roster updates.
              4. If you are still reading, this will make you happy. This game has sucked in the past and still the mod community has been pretty good about making rosters, and graphic patches. If this game is what it appears that it is, the mod community will probably be all over it and make up for the lack of features and roster updates tenfold.

These 2 states are untrue! The only way you can't get roster updates, is if you have a pirated copy! Buy the game and you get everything the console gets.

The only 2 features missing are the new menu's and the custom soundtracks. Everything else the console has is fully intact.

Also I've been having every 2ksports PC title since they've released them, and the controllers have always worked with them. It's just in the 2k11 versions, you don't have to mod the button icons anymore.

                      Re: PC 2K11

People will often make their own rosters/equipment upgrades so it can be sooner and better. You don't get MLB Today if you're not logged into your 2K account though. They still never sent me my password recovery e-mail.

Far as mods at least graphics wise any of the ENBs will work.

Is that true? Last years game 2k10 didn't have online play, did it? Does this year's version have online play against other humans?

Really!! I own the game and didn't realize that.. sheesh. (with that said, I bought it from Steam for next to nothing).

So, basically, if you've got the computer to run it.. there's no reason not to buy it for PC.

                            David

EDIT: I just checked.. Steam makes no mention of multiplayer.. indicating that it's single player only.

Why the heck did people say last year had no online play?

People who had the game on this very board!

                                Odd.
