    My Player- Buying tonight

Hey guys i'm buying this game after class, what are your thoughts on the my player mode this year.. I know its not changed much but i have some questions.
    1) Does it take longer to develop your player? Last year I was in hunt for MVP and triple crown in my first season.
    2) Do you go up through AAA as well as AA. What does it take to get called up to the MLB? Last year you could go and start amost anywhere, I wanna actually have to work at it and develop. Or wait on a trade or injury to be brought up, maybe even have to risk of being sent back down.

    THanks for your input

It took me 20 games instead of 15 to get to the majors

I went from AA to ML

20 games?!?!?! Your the man! I'm at 22 games right now and I'm nowhere close to the majors. Unfortunately, there is no contract and it does seem like your automatically made the starter. I could be wrong there because I came in higher than the other guys on the AA roster so I don't know for sure. I would have liked to have seen contracts introduced this year but its not a deal breaker for me. It would be cool if we could buy certain things with money we earn, but it would serve no purpose. It's just fun to do negotiations and stuff. Oh well, maybe next year.

Were you a starting pitcher though? A player expected to play 32 games a year is a little different than one available for 162. Although what you describe IS super fast regardless, I thought I'd point out the distinction as it may be misleading. The OP appears to be a position player (triple crown) and not a pitcher.

I'm a shortstop about 10 games in, still in AA. The points they award you seem far reduced. However, my AVG is way too high despite my low ratings (.400). I'm thinking of starting over on All-Star.

Yes, it will take you longer. If for some reason it doesn't, change the difficulty.

Also, I happened to play a little in AAA last year (last year I was a starting pitcher) so I can't comment on the differences there.
