    Contact vs Power

Do you guys just normally use contact swing for normal situations and then power swing in a hitters count or are some of you swinging for the fences every time? And is it possible to even hit home runs with the contact swing?

It all depends on what difficulty you are playing at and what you have your sliders at. I played a game at PRO last night with the Orioles and attempted to use the default sliders. For the first 6 innings I exclusively used the contact swing and couldn't hit anything solid. Starting in inning 7 I started using the power swing until I got two strikes and promptly hit two homeruns and overcame a 3 run deficit to win the game.

My suggestion to you is to play around with the sliders before you decide what to do with the swing type. Some prefer to manage the sliders so that they can get a realistic result using only the contact swing.

I played on Pro with default sliders yesterday and hit homers with various players, even Carlos Santana who is not a real power hitter. I used Classic batting and no power swing, just button batting. So, it can be done. There were a number of shots I thought should have gone out, but those were hit by guys who don't have big power numbers.
