    MLB 2K11 VIP Feature

For those that have MLB 2K11, there is a VIP feature that people need to check out. It's under features and it's awesome, much like the sports blogs you can upload in franchise mode. I just wish you could load these stats online so you can view and share them. I took a bunch of screen shots of the TV to show people who don't have the game.

As you can see, I'm 0-8 in the full games I have played and I've largely sucked. It shows that I don't pull the ball enough, I strike out too much and my average is only .224. As for pitching I have an ERA of 6.53 and I've given up oodles of doubles and triples. I've had to boost outfield speed and drop base runner speed to help control this a bit more. It tracks the pitches I've thrown showing that I throw the fastball 59% of the time when I'm ahead in the count and 74% of the time when I fall behind. Lots of cool stuff.

I'm slowly getting to sliders that will look a little better. I'm actually walking at a decent rate (almost 2 per game) but I still hack at pitches out of the zone too much - particularly stuff that is too high (86%) or low (75%). There are a few other things it can do like track game highs but these were the neat things imo.

    what an awesome feature!
i feel like they had this in 2k9 and then took it out last year... or it might have been in the game last year and i don't remember it.

but i do enjoy looking at these every once in a while..

I didn't play 2k10, so I don't know if they had this in there. It was in 2k9, but not nearly this deep and comprehensive. That's some cool stuff.

But what worries me is that Rudyjuly2 is 0-8, struggling at the plate and getting shelled on the mound. I'm waiting for the game to arrive from Modell's. I suspect I'll need massive slider adjustments just to be able to compete.

By the way, do they have this in-depth a set of stats for MyPlayer?
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

"What? You can't challenge a scoring play?''

They have something just like this in NBA 2K11. I love it. 2K really brings you a wealth of information in its games, which I appreciate.

I'm getting shelled because I started out on All-Star and it was too tough for me. I didn't try Pro right away because I felt it was way too easy on the demo. I made slider changes a little too slowly and I'm not getting my butt kicked as bad lately lol. I've blown a couple leads too due to my bullpen. I think my pitching sliders and cpu offense are pretty good right now. I just have to pick up my offense a little.

I'm sure you will find a difficulty level or slider adjustment to keep the game balanced for you. My being stubborn is the biggest culprit here - I usually err on the side of the game being too difficult until I eventually find something that works for me.

I haven't tried My Player yet so I don't know if they have any stats like this for that mode.

              Hey rudy,

I have a question about the VIP feature, in NBA2k series, u can download other VIP's and play them as the CPU. It's fun, because the CPU acts out the tendencies of the VIP. I havent seen that in the MLB series, have u ever done that before, if so how do u do it????

I don't have the NBA games so I don't know anything about that but there doesn't appear to be any way to upload the VIP stuff. I think it's just there to show us our tendencies and stats which I still love.

By the way, 0-9 now. Blew a 3-0 lead against the Yanks with Boston and lost 7-6.

                    Hey Fiddy,

When u go too the NBA today game screen where u can select your teams too play, hit the Y button and a screen should appear. Scroll down until u see the Home VIP playback & Away VIP playback, there u can add a VIP from your list. Also u have to play at least one online game too have access to other players VIP's. When u go too the online section, u can see other peoples VIP's and add them too your profile for future use. I love it, because the computer actually plays the style of play the gamer does, it also can play your style of play too. U can play against yourself and the CPU will have your style of play.

OT, I don't know if you planned on doing so Rudy, but I'd love to see your sliders when you're happy with them. I find myself constantly switching stuff between games (sometimes between innings!) and its beginning to take some of the enjoyment away.

I knew it was going to be this way, and it makes it a little easier knowing I have to wait on a patch and Opening Day rosters to do anything other than exhibition games in this game anyways, but I'd like to start enjoying playing the games (because this game is still a whole lot of fun and I can't play more than one or two games of The Show before I start thinking about this one. And vice versa, to be fair). Right now, I'm constantly tweaking things.

I didn't even think about the VIP feature. I will check this out next time I play.

I have tweaked a lot too and it has been frustrating. I think I have finally got a set I'm pretty happy with. I might tweak a little more but I'm fairly happy. Just click on my sig to see them. I like pitch speed slow. I don't know how they would work for you but they are looking pretty decent right now.

Ahh, gotcha. Sigs don't show up on Tapatalk. Ill check them out when I get home. I think, based on your posts, you and I have very similar issues and skill in this game, so your sliders should work for me pretty well.
