    Is step timing for power swings necessary?

    or can you just **** the bat back and mash forward once the ball crosses the plate? I am having tons of problems hitting with any kind of power and I use the REDS.

    Step timing was removed from the game two years ago unfortunately. IMO it was one of the more innovative additions to any video baseball game, ever. But then the developers removed it for some unknown reason. Made the game too hard and too realistic for the kiddies I suppose.

      That's the only reason I can come up with for it's removal. I would love to see it return next year. Even if it's something that can be toggled on/off.

      If you're having trouble with power there's 2 solutions.

      1. Adjust the sliders to your liking (easy fix)

      2. Do the hitting drills and work on your plate discipline.

      Good contact leads to great power numbers. After playing a few hours of "My Player" and learning to be patient, my power numbers skyrocketed across all game modes to the point where I've lowered my contact slider considerably to even things out.
