Poll:HRs with hitters with Power below 60

i've played 20 games or so now, and i've had no problems hitting HRs in this game. of course, I've got P. Fielder, B. McCann, J Bruce & P. Sandavol.

but i have yet to hit ONE HR with any other of my guys.
sure i'm not expecting a lot from my smaller guys like
Borbon, Prado, Escobar, JJ Hardy etc., but i expect at least one so far.
could probably also have to do with i don't Power Swing with em as much, but i still do when i'm up in the count.

    so there's the poll
    28
    not enough
    0%
    16
    seems about right
    0%
    10
    way too many

I actually hit 2 with Martin Prado, the first two I've hit period, both in the same game yesterday. However, he was on a hot streak that put him up to 71 power.

Overall, they are a bit low.

You really have to up the power slider and drop the contact slider in this game.

Doing so I have hit HRs with Neil Walker (59 Pwr) and Andrew McCutchen (60 Pwr).

          30/80 CPU

I tried tinkering w/ 25/80 human, but too many swings and misses.

I'm not ready to vote yet. I do think the game is similar to last year in that most of your HRs will come from the big guys and not enough from the little guys but I'm not sure how much of an issue it is yet. A lot of this depends on how you use the power swing and your sliders. I've hit a HR (maybe only one or two with someone under 60) with a lighter guy but I don't swing power enough with those guys either.

Ive been through 3 years of Franchise and my second year in My Player and it seems like the CPU will give you HR to have accurate numbers. For instance, B. Phillips hit 30 HR before August. He didnt get another until late September. Carlos Santana had maybe 2 HR when I picked him up, but hit 14 more in one month, to get him up to realistic numbers.

Hey I used your hitting sliders but did you tinker with the pitching/fielding/running sliders? because I just played a game against the pirates and im on the padres and the stats are as follows:

                  I had 11 Runs. 5 Doubles, 3 HRs, 3 Triples, and wont 11-1 only allowing 3 hits

The higher pitch SPD is the faster the ball will travel off the bat.

I had pitch SPD at 100 and was making more solid contact w/ the same user contact/power settings than if pitch SPD was at 75.

My pitch SPD is 75, AI success 100, and Break is 60. So while my power sliders are higher than yours, they're offset by the lower contact ratings, and increased CPU pitching abilities.

I only have CPU pwr at 80. Human is 75. I give the CPU a slight edge because I like the challenge of having to place pitches. It keeps me staying away from some of the sluggers because there's a stronger likelihood for them to take me deep.

Can't remember my HUM pitching sliders......I know I have control at 40, and pitch spd is universally 75.

I am still tweaking my sliders, which is why I have not posted a thread yet. I've had sliders threads the past 2 years though.

i am basically using BIGFNJOE96's sliders, and no HRs for me yet.
i'm leaning towards giving up on the power swing for the lil guys, as it gives me some 2baggers, but mostly pop ups. even with guys with high contact.

i don't want to raise the power slider any more, cause i'm getting more than enough HRs from my big guys. seems like Fielder hits one every 2nd game i play.
