    Tapping A/B to sprint?

Is it just me, or is tapping the A button make you run faster on the base paths, or at least in my player? It really seems like it. Ive been experimenting and it seems like it does make you go faster.

Are you using it with people that have high speed ratings? It's just you. They accelerate as they run, like a person should.

Well...like donthate stated, if they are accelerating, then you normally would see a visual difference. Explain the difference you see. If you tap A while running, and then stop halfway through the sprint is the player visibly moving slower?

The animation is sped up and seems more jerky and less fluid.

Yes, but the other way around. I watch them run without it, then when I start tapping it, they seem to speed up. Not only on the real basepaths, but their little icon on the basepath 'map' above.

Doesn't tapping A just switch control of base runners? I've done it a few times and never noticed anything, but have yet to tap B.

I noticed in MLB 2K10 that if you hit a infield single or something, you can't press the advance base button, so make you runner go to first try to go for a triple, and it appears to me that he runs a little quicker, but you have to switch him back to first base when he gets close to first.

Depends on what type of hitting your using I believe. Which ever doesnt change base runners when the ball is in play, is the one I tap. It really seems to make a difference, unless its just my imagination.

Wow, I've started tapping the buttons while the runner's going and see a slight difference in frame rate too... don't know if it makes a difference though.
