    Possible "fixes" for franchise fatigue...

Since we are all still anxiously awaiting the patch that should fix the franchise fatigue bug, I thought it would be a good idea to get a thread up that lists possible fixes for the bug. The goal is to hopefully get a "fix" that should be able to hold over the majority of us until the patch is released.

My first idea was to play the entire game, but sim the last out(or maybe just one out). I know it isn't the best solution, but it could possibly work. I have yet to try this, but I will shortly. The problems with this idea are that you could be in a tight game with bases loaded and don't want to sim it. You may have two outs, but the CPU has a runner on third, down one with Ryan Zimmerman up to bat, so you don't want to risk the sim messing up your save. But this is a possible solution and thats what this topic is made for.

So, what are your ideas for possible fixes?

I believe that idea has been presented before, but unfortunately it does not work.

As far as I know, there are no workarounds for it other than simming every game (which is not a good option)

Why not simply sit your players accordingly? If Ryan Braun for example typically plays 150 games a year, sit him for 12. Those of us who played sports games before the invention of video games had to learn to use our imagination, so it's a pretty easy fix for someone like me.

Thats a slight fix, but your players will still perform like fully energized players, the CPU will use the same relievers an entire series because they won't fatigue during it, you have to keep track of who all pitched for you last game, etc.

I don't understand the desire to nerf your players' ability the way some of these games do. I have PES 2011, and at the start of my new season, first game, 6 of my players are showing Form arrows in the negative before kickoff. Haven't even played a single game in the season, and 60% of my team is exhausted!

I back out of the game, launch the game editor, and proceed to globally edit the roster, raising everyone's Form rating to max.

Restart my season, and now all of my players are showing either 80% or 100% Form. Now THAT'S realistic. The other isn't.

Nobody wants to "nerf" players' abilities, but many of us who are serious about Franchise believe that a big part of success in baseball involves good roster management, including knowing when to play guys and when to rest them. One huge part of this is bullpen management--do you bring in your closer in today's 1-run game even though he's not 100% because you used him for 5 outs yesterday? If every guy on your team is 100% every day, it takes away this important dimension to successfully slogging through the long baseball season.

I agree 100%. This is why i havent started my franchise. It takes all the fun out of it when every player is 100%. As you said, the season is long enough to begin with. What fun is it if the computer comes into a series with its team rested and can throw its closer out there 4 days in a row if it wants to... or has a fully rested bullpen every game. Its not realistic and I have no interest in playing until this is fixed. I dont see HOW this was even missed in testing. They must have just simmed a TON of seasons and never saw this error.

Because we shouldn't have to, honestly. In 2k10, we had to "pretend" our guys made errors. In 2k10, I had to pretend to have a wild pitcher who walked someone.

I can understand if we were talking about minor aesthetics, but this is the core game of baseball.

This doesn't fix anything really. I played the Nationals in a series and they brought in Tyler Clippard every game for at least 2-3 innings. I don't want to face the same relievers every game. I want the CPU and myself to have to decide who to bring in and when.
