Has anyone made a diving play yet?

I can't do it. I have my settings and sliders like most people do on here. How do you climb the wall and are you doing it?

I made a really nice diving catch. The CPU climbed the wall on me to rob an easy double. Havent done it myself though.

Made one at SS the other day. It was cool. Started a double play and he flipped to 2nd with the ball in his glove.

It just seems like the ball gets on me too fast and if I do make a diving catch it's because the cpu triggered it for me. I don't like it. What's the difference between this game and MVP that I can't make MY OWN plays anymore? Is it the speed that the ball gets on the infielder or the lack of real control of my fielder?

Ive made a few diving catches. You cant rob HR though, because of the HR/out glitch.

I made an unbelievable diving catch with Vlad Guerrero the other day. He was heading back at a 45 degree angle towards the wall and makes a Jim Edmonds-esque diving catch to rob the batter of a sure double (possibly a ground-rule double?).

It was so awesome I saved the replay

As for the infield, I have to agree with you. It seems like I try every few games to make a diving catch on a liner or a grounder but the ball gets on me before the animation registers.

And as for climbing the wall, I haven't had the opportunity to do so yet. My pitching philosphy is to keep the ball down, so I don't give up many HRs, but when I do, man do they soar

I've made a few diving catches, and robbed a couple of home runs but only in My Player mode. I saved a replay I believe.

I can't! It seems like the ball gets there too fast or triggering it is delayed or something. Like I will trigger it, but it will either not work or dive when the ball is finally in the outfielders glove. Also, I can't climb the walls to rob home runs, and the CPU will rob a home run but they jump 10 feet into the air, they're not Superman. The diving/jumping is unrealistic.

This is not correct. I have robbed 2 homeruns sofar, the HR/out glitch did not happen.

you know whats funny, i thought about this the other night. that i never made a diving catch yet. i always miss!! then the other night, on 3 line drives the CPU dove and made the play for me. this was on the all star level!! lol boooooo i wanted to do it myself lol..

I finally figured out how to dive yesterday. I dove late and missed the ball by 4-5 feet (just like me in real life... or Nick Swisher, hey!) but it was still pretty exciting.
