Re: Trade Discussion Thread
Uh, guys, can't Chris Davis play some third? The Dodgers could get Davis, put him at third, and either A.) Try and put Casey Blake in LF (not sure how good his defense is) or B.) Trade BlakeComment

Re: Trade Discussion Thread
Started a Reds season. A pretty easy team to build as they already have some pieces in place for the future.
Here are the trades I made before the season (may not all be realistic), tell me what you think:
Acquired C Chris Iannetta from Rockies
for C Ramon Hernandez, 59 OVR 1/3 * OF, and 45 OVR 1/3 * P.
Acquired IF Danny Espinosa and P Tyler Clippard from Nationals for 2B Brandon Phillips, 57 OVR 1/3 * P, and 57 OVR 1/2 * P.
Acquired 3B Pedro Alvarez from Pirates for 3B Scott Rolen and P Jared Burton.
Acquired OF Brennan Boesch from Tigers for OF Jonny Gomes and 66 OVR 1/2 * OF.
Acquired P Zach Britton from Orioles for P Bronson Arroyo and 62 OVR 2/4 * SS.
Acquired P Gio Gonzalez from A's for P Johnny Cueto and 65 OVR 2/4 * OF.
Acquired P Max Scherzer from Tigers for OF Fred Lewis, P Nick Masset, and 65 OVR 2/3 * OF.
Acquired P Andrew Bailey from A's for P Francisco Cordero, P Jeremy Horst, and 48 OVR 1/4 * P.
I realize most of these are robberies.
After doing these trades, this is what my team is looking like:

I've yet to decide if I want to trade Homer Bailey, put him in the rotation, or keep him in the 'pen.
There's not too much I want to trade him for. I'm pretty happy at every position.Last edited by philliesfan136; 07-18-2011, 04:35 AM.Comment

I guess I wonder why you chose the Reds at all; this team looks nothing like them. A fantasy draft team might have been a more logical choice.Comment

Re: Trade Discussion Thread
I know they aren't the same team, although I did keep most of the bullpen, and the core players are still there.Comment

Re: Trade Discussion Thread
I only traded Phillips because he is a little older than Espinosa, who isn't even at his peak.Comment

Re: Trade Discussion Thread
Need help here from you guys. I'm trying to pick the most realistic trade for Ubaldo Jimenez in my Rangers franchise. So far here are my options...
1)Ubaldo Jimenez (92), John Maine (71) or Willy Taveras (71) for
--Tommy Hunter (76), Chris Davis (75), Zach Phillips (65), Matt Lollis (62) -->all these are 4* players
2)Ubaldo Jimenez for
--Tommy Hunter (76), Chris Davis (75), Brandon Webb (80) or Arthur Rhodes (81)
3)Ubaldo Jimenez for
--Tanner Scheppers (70, 5*), Chris Davis (75, 4*), Zach Phillips (65, 4*)
4)Ubaldo Jimenez for
--Tanner Scheppers (70, 5*), Arthur Rhodes (81), Brandon Webb (80)
In my opinion #1 and #3 are the best options from the Rockies standpoint. Personally I like #1 the most, but #3 is more realistic because they would probably want a 5* pitcher for him. John Maine and Willy Taveras are only there so I could have a 4th player go to Colorado, both players only have one year on their contract and are in Triple-AFan of....
Memphis Tigers - Texas Rangers - Dallas Mavericks - Dallas Cowboys
