Re: How Do You Check Your Swing???
I have seen a check swing during the plate discipline drill because I determined to try it before the ball left the pitcher's hand, but the way the function is implemented makes it impracticable during a real game situation. The timing window to pull back the swing is so small that by the time your brain decides to hold off, it's much too late. I miss the check swings in MVP Baseball, which were much more natural.Comment

You dont. Yet another problem with 2K. If you actually do get the check swing to work, you have to know your going to check swing before they even throw the pitch. Obviously this doest help out at all.Comment

Re: How Do You Check Your Swing???
exactly, check swings (for classic hitting) need to be based on button pressure, so those tiny blips of touch to the button cause a check swing. The way it is now, there's just no way to do it. So, I just have to settle on the fact that I can't check swing, and just deal with it unfortunately.
Maybe I"ll give the stick swingin a shot again, but I prefer the button swing. You do what you want in your association, don't let others ruin the fun. Just because other people say it's cheap doesn't mean you have to let it affect your association, just have fun - Evan_OSComment

Available for swing stick only!
You must do a power swing and then if you see the pitch is out of the zone you flick the right stick down and you will perform a check swingCatch Madden 15/ NBA 2k15 Footage on my Twitch Channel

It works for classic, you just have to double tap A. It is still pointless though, since you never have time to do it.Comment

Re: How Do You Check Your Swing???
^^ Sabo you taught me a new trick. I was not aware you could double tap A and it would check swing. That was a minor reason why I would never commit to button swing.Catch Madden 15/ NBA 2k15 Footage on my Twitch Channel

Re: How Do You Check Your Swing???
It's a very simple three-step process that anyone can do. Using classic (button) swinging:
1. When the pitcher starts his windup, decide whether you wish to check swing, before the pitcher actually throws the ball.
2. As he is about to release the ball, hit the swing button.
3. As the pitch arrives, push the button again to activate check swing.
That's it, easy as pie. And not a problem as long as you're not expecting a check swing system that's actually useful.
