Re: Auto or Assisted Fielding
No auto, but it's assisted in that players will auto-start after balls, after which you have to take control of them. Example: infielders will go after linedrives and even groundballs, and will catch/field most of them without you having to touch the stick. I've had many innings where I do nothing defensively except watch my infielders catch three line drives in a row. -
Re: Auto or Assisted Fielding
Throwing can be a problem because the throw button is very sensitive. What I mean is you can't just hold the throw button down and fire away. You need to first tap the throw button or most likely will end up with a wild throw. The CPU can turn double plays faster than you. Also, you do need to get your outfielders in position to catch the ball if they are not exactly where they should be. If the ground ball is not hit directly at you infielder, then you must bring him to where the ball is hit. Fielding is not extremely difficult, but it certainly isn't automatic. I never played without auto fielding before and after a bunch of games I got the hang of it.Comment
