How do you steal? The help sucks cus it days lb which only leads off the base.

How do you get commentators to stop saying let's look at what the mariners did last season EVERY DAM GAME and even more then once a game. This commentary royalty sucks it says the same thing EVERY effing game.

I shut the commentary off 15 minutes after I fired up the game for the first time. I'd prefer they simply call balls, strikes, outs and announce the batting order. The rest of it is too repetitive as you said.

To steal, you have to HOLD LT (or LB if you want all runners to go). You'll feel it vibrate. Release the trigger when you want the guy to run, generally as soon as the pitcher starts his motion.

The thing that pisses me off about the commentary is that the announcers give away whether or not a catch will be made. While the ball is in the air, if they say "Ethier over to field it" while he is still sprinting, you can forget about the ball dropping. Also it would be nice if they didn't give away homeruns right away by showing the H icon on your batter's baserunner icon.

It only shows the h when its clearly a HR. Like INR a hitter would know if he got one or not as soon as it leaves the bat. Some of the commentary can be repetitive, but its the best commentary to ever be in a sports game period.

In my player, I've never hit a HR where it didn't say H on my batter right away. If it shows what base I've selected, the ball has always stayed in the park.

Holding lb to steal doesn't work because the pitcher ALWAYS 100% of the time picks you off even though his ai pickoff is like 25. Waiting till the pitcher starts his delivery doesn't work. not enough time to hold lb. lb vibrated only after the ball has been pitched.

it needs to be like every other game. tell the runner to steal and he goes by himself.

the only steals my franchise team will have is on simmed games only. its impossible otherwise and completely ruins base running aspect of the game.

You're doing it wrong then. You can lead off 2-3 steps plus hold lb down and feel it vibrate, all before the pitcher even starts his windup.

Like peigone said you have to be doing something wrong. I finished 2nd in the NL in steals last season in my franchise. Try using LT instead of LB maybe

Take a lead, then hold the button, release it during the windup, slide when appropriate. I stole more bases than Ricky Henderson in My Player and at the time he had like a 70 in speed and acceleration.

speaking of sliding, how do you control that? I usually flick the right stick when it feels right and it goes into the slow-mo camera, but I'm not sure if that's even right. Ive noticed if I just let the player slide by himself he does it fine. Am I using the right stick?

Cant release lb during wind-up because the pitcher has already stepped off and picked me off. My guys leads off the normal lead. I hold lb and it vibrated then immediately pitcher picks me off as my runner already started running.

like others have said, something isn't adding up, b/c it doesn't happen to any of us. i take RIDICULOUS leadoffs (all star settings untweaked) and rarely get pickoff throws.

also you say you do release it during the wind up, but it's too late the pitcher has already picked you off?? that doesn't make sense. if you release it during the windup the pitcher is going to the plate. as soon as u see the pitcher make a first move u release.

Sounds like you're releasing the LB or L Trigger after it vibrates, before the pitcher throws to the plate. When you do that, you'll get picked off/caught in a rundown every time. Like SHootar said, the CPU pitcher almost never tries a pickoff. I get a 3-step lead every time.
