    Simulation problem in franchise

Listen I highly doubt I'm the only one who likes to sim their franchise but I've never seen anyone talk about this problem...my problem is that I like to have certain players in my lineup so I take out the people I don't want to play out and I sim for a month and check my players stats but when ever I check the lineup the players I took out of my lineup are in it and the players I want in are out only b their OVR is better...has no one ever encounterd this?

Yeah i have been having this happen to me alot in the last couple of weeks. I have all roster management etc set to off so i make the decisions of how each of my teams line-up. Sim a handful of games and its got my 1st basemen playing left field, left field playing center and so forth. Always messes up my batting line-up for example putting my clean up hitter at the 1 or 2 spot.

When i first started playing franchise i didn't have this problem it always left the line-up how i wanted it.

It could be a glitch or a bug, it wouldn't surprise me.

Could be you're simming too many games at a time. I've never simmed more than a couple games at once and the lineups always stay as is. Question: How can you sim a month's worth of games without seeing any injuries? The lineup will change is there's an injury.

I sim every two weeks than play a game and do that through out the year till the last couple of weeks if i need wins to make playoffs. I get injuries and make adjustments accordingly but when i get a guy back from injury and go back to manage my line-up it has thrown it all out of whack.

Yep, I simmed only a single series and noticed my whole lineup was hijacked--there were no injuries, either. So it's definitely not just you. Not a huge deal to me, because I rarely sim games...but yeah, that stinks for those of you that do sim.

Well for injuries I understand but minor ones like sprains I leave in lineup and it still changes like I usually dont get an injury during the first month So it shouldn't change

Well, as I said, I've never had the lineup switch while simming a game at a time. So try that. And personally, I don't understand why people would sim more than a game at a time anyway. Are you not interested in seeing how your players are doing after each game -- who stole a base, who drove in the runs, who the hot hitters are, etc? Plus if the lineup switches for some reason, you can make the necessary adjustments before the next game, which solves that problem as well.

Every time there is an injury situation, even if you choose to leave him in the lineup, the AI takes the opportunity to rearrange your lineup. You'll likely notice that during the periods where you do not have any injuries that your lineup does not change. Just make a habit of after every injury going back in and rearranging your lineup and your Rotation/Bullpen and it will solve the problem. This will also happen if you are in the Organization Summary screen and call up/send down a player that puts your roster in the red (too many or too few total) and you have the CPU adjust the rostes to get everyone in the black.

I've noticed the AI comes up with some wacky lineups for my squad. It has guys playing out of position, hitting in a less-than-desirable spot, pitching in the wrong BP slot, etc.

I've always wondered if I cost my team wins by adjusting my lineup like I do (meaning, putting it in the most real-life manner possible). After all, the same AI that puts my best hitter leading off is the same AI that's doing the win/loss calculations when I sim....

I don't know if it counts as simming, but I'm playing My Player and at the end of the first year I played Washington and Zimmerman was playing 1B and Werth was playing 3B.
