    Using In-Game Reports

I'm transitioning to this franchise after having played The Show, and I'm curious how well you like and how much you use the in-game IE reports.

The most useful bits of data for me come from the pitch-by-pitch at-bat tracker and the overall pitcher stats bar that includes the pitch count, balls, strikes, etc. Those data were easily accessible in SCEA's format, but I'm having trouble finding them in 2K11. Is there a handy way to do this?

Also, how often do you find yourself using the IE batter's and pitcher's reports? Do you find that they work well in terms of helping anticipate pitches or getting batters out? I want to make the most of these things, especially since 2K clearly put a lot of effort into compiling useful statistical overlays; I'm just not sure how best to use them yet.

Unfortunately there is no way to see a pitch by pitch tracker. No idea why they dont do it.

I don't have the IE reports, but I think if you hit D-Pad right it brings up the IE stuff.

I use IE reports for pitching and it does help. Sometimes you may get surprised when they get a hit off something in the cold zone that they are weak on, but overall I think it's a very useful tool--and worth the money.

It definitely helps. I can actually follow my catcher's suggestions with confidence and my defense is automatically set up for their strengths and weaknesses. I credit it with getting me a few extra wins in my latest franchise season.

I do wish 2K would add a pitch history tracker like MVP had. It was very useful as a hitter to see how pitchers were attacking you.

Yes, and a pitch tracker to see what happened in the last at bat against the batter playing as the pitcher.

OK, that's cool to know that it actually helps to have those reports. I just fired up a franchise without paying for any reports to see how it looked and my catcher was calling for pitches to certain batters that I knew were not smart. Pretty cool that it works like that, and even cooler that the defense will shift for you

I may pony up and buy reports for my division rivals at the least.

I did find after starting up the franchise that the pitch counts for the opposing pitcher are displayed very regularly, so that's a plus. It's not that way in pickup games, which concerned me.

The defense is not always setup correctly. Many times I caught the defense set OF deep for a guy who has no power, so I check it and adjust as needed, both IF and OF.
