    Player Stats in Franchise

I would post this under glitches, but I just think I'm doing something wrong. I'm only three games in my franchise and when I go to look at player stats it has all of my players stats from last year, not this year (or the two games I've played). Yet when I hit the trigger to look at other teams, it shows their players stats from the current year. Am I missing something?

I searched the forum and couldn't find a similar issue/question.

The only fix I've come up with for this is to use a 2kShare roster (I use the MKHARSH roster from April 18th) instead of starting your franchise with the Default/Living roster.

I've been screwing around with multiple franchises the past few weeks and everytime I started one with an "OFFICIAL" roster I'd get that stats glitch.

Every franchise I've started with a "SHARED" roster has had no issues.

That's brutal because theres no way I can play a franchise where the stats aren't even in the presentation or even counted. I just started a new franchise with the official rosters and the stats are actually working now. Looks like I'll have to delete the other one. This is something you would think would be easy to fix though. Thanks for the help though.

Yea I just noticed this glitch myself, and I agree, it's brutal. It's enough to make me not wanna play a franchise (I am a stat whore when it comes to franchise modes)

Did you just keep starting a new franchise until you saw that the stats were correct?

            Re: Player Stats in Franchise

Well I started a franchise just to see if it would happen and it didn't but decided to see if my "plagued" franchise stats could be fixed. I then decided to give up and just start a new one.

So I tried it twice with the official rosters and the stats are fine. I must have just had bad luck with that one. Annoying though.

Very much so. I guess I'll start a new franchise and see if I can get it to go. Cuz yea, it's very annoying. I need my stats to be correct, lol

Well I started a new franchise, and sure enough, stats are working now. So it was maybe just a random thing? IDK, I just know I got my stats.

My stats SUCK, lol, because my team cannot hit for jack against a good pitcher (I used the Giants and I don't really have many high rated hitters, and one of the few guys I do have in Buster Posey in injured right now - but that's not a complaint I am actually really happy with my early experiences dealing with the difficulty of the game), but at least they are working.

Exactly, I just need the stats to work and for the game not to freeze and you can chalk it up and call it a good time for me. What difficulty are you playing on?

                    All-Star.

In my Play Now / MLB Today / Franchise games that I have played (not many yet, but a few) it does seem pretty realistic.

I can shut down my opponent pretty well with guys like Lincecum or Cain, but if I'm going against a high rated pitcher, my bats crap out. If I'm going against a not so great pitcher, my bats can come around pretty well.

Last night was pretty rough. It was with my new franchise that has working stats, and I was playing my opening day game against the Dodgers. Going into the 6th inning or so, the game was scoreless, and I think at that point I actually had a hit or 2 more than they did. But they had a big inning and scored a couple runs. Once Lincecum's stuff was finally getting rocked, I finally pulled him and the bullpen completely imploded, giving up 4 more runs I have one reliever who currently has a 54.04 ERA lmao. I think he got one out but then gave up 2 more runs before I pulled him. So with .1 innings pitched, he's averaging 6 runs an inning, lol.

After my bullpen melted down, I just pulled Posey out of the game (he's playing injured and I didn't want to risk him getting further injured in a game that was out of reach). They kept Clayton Kershaw in the game and he completed the shut out. I've been shut out a LOT in games against top end pitchers. But considering I only have about 3 guys with any kind of hit rating above 80, it's not totally out of line. I'm gonna settle into a few games with my lineup and see how I do against guys that AREN'T Kershaw, or Cahill, or other top end guys before looking into trades that may be available for me.

                      Re: Player Stats in Franchise

There was a glitch in the 2k9 version or 2k10 where the stats from the pervious year, carried over and just kept going up. So by season three, some players had like +100 home runs.

Yeah but I'm guessing the hitting will come with time. Or at least my hitting has gotten much better the more I play, as expected. I was playing on Pro for the first 10 or so games because this the first baseball game I have bought since MVP 05. But I just moved it up to All-Star and I was just getting pounded my first couple of games. However, the last two games I've played have been the most fun I've had with the game. I won in the 11th after blowing two leads in the ninth and tenth inning against the Tigers. And then I just got a come from behind win against the Yanks with my Rangers. The biggest thing I've learned is to use the power swing with most of my guys (just not the low power guys) and also to just wait for my pitch. It's helped a lot. I must say though I'm having an awesome time with the game.

Are the stats totaling or are you just seeing the previous year's stats for the first few games? I know mine switched over to the current stats once there were a few games completed (otherwise, they're kinda useless since everybody is hitting .800 or .000 with 0SB and 1RBI).

Yea, I think a lot of it is that when I'm struggling with hitting, I'm going up against really high rated pitchers like Trevor Cahill, or Clayton Kershaw.

I was playing my second game last night, and it was a really fun game. Buster Posey got his first hit, and then I got 3 consecutive hits following that to bring Posey in to score. Matt Cain was dominating the Dodgers, but unfortunately I was coming up to start the 7th inning with my 4, 5, and 6 hitters due up, and the game froze between innings, so I lost my game.

I was so mad, the game was going so great. I know it was low scoring (1-0), but it was a really fun and exciting game. I'm mad that I lost it.

That's awful man I have only had one freeze in about 15 or 16 games. I think the key is to just let the replays run without hurrying them up. I'm not sure if this is when your game is freezing but from my experience and the experiences of others, that'll help a lot. It might add a minute or two on to your game time, but it is definitely worth not taking the chance of losing a game. But I know what you mean about facing those tough pitchers. I played a game against CC earlier and he was pretty tough to hit. I had only 4 hits in the game but managed to put up two runs. Too bad Derek Holland got crushed...
