2K11 now has Auto Fielding & Auto Baserunning

Apparently the new patch includes an option to turn these features on or off. I started a franchise and was surprised to see both these options available.

So now it's like getting a new version!

Can I turn these options on in an already started franchise? Auto-fielding = win. One of my biggest problems was not being able to get proper reactions from my fielders because I didn't know until too late which fielder was selected. Or moving my guy out of position because I thought another fielder was going to be selected.

I imagine the options will be available to those who already started a franchise. From past experiences with auto fielding and auto baserunning in other baseball games, this may not be such a great thing. Everything depends on how the AI handles it for you. It may or may not be a good thing. You can always turn it off so it's nice to have both options.

I read that it auto throws and that kind of disappoints me, is this true?

Also, the running clearly gives you no control over stealing etc either. Not what I was expecting in that regard compared to past iterations.

yes, if you have auto fielding on. the CPU handles throws as well. I wish it was separate like The Show, but we'll see how it works.

How do you know auto baserunning negates the steal attempt?

I had tried it myself and I didn't see my guy leading off. Maybe I did something wrong but I tried to lean off as I would without this feature on.

You don't have control of the player with it on. The only way your player could steal a base is if the auto baserunning feature did that for you. I don't think other games with this feature do that, so probably it's the same in this game. I really don't need auto baserunning, but auto fielding may be useful, depends on how the AI handles it.

In the past, you could have it on, while still controlling the steals. Which is fine by me, as I have got used to the manual system.
