    Is this lineup unfair?

I traded for all these players legit. But I want your opinions on if this lineup is fair or not. As for overall rating (adding each hitters rating up) I am currently tied for 15th.

is this lineup too stacked? I like it to be somewhat realistic.

    1. Orlando Hudson-2B 78 Ovr, 72 Con, 47 Pow, 83 Speed. Age 33, 3 Star Pot.
    2. Jason Bartlett--SS 77 Ovr, 71 Con, 45 Pow, 86 Speed. Age 31, 3 Star Pot.
    3. Jay Bruce------RF 84 Ovr, 70 Con, 84 Pow, 78 Speed. Age 24, 5 Star Pot.
    4. Mike Stanton---1B 85 Ovr, 68 Con, 92 Pow, 85 Speed. Age 21, 5 Star Pot.
    5. Hunter Pence---LF 89 Ovr, 78 Con, 79 Pow, 83 Speed. Age 27, 5 Star Pot.
    6. Mike Napoli-----C 79 Ovr, 63 Con, 86 Pow, 68 Speed. Age 29, 4 Star Pot.
    7. Chris Johnson---3B 80 Ovr, 81 Con, 63 Pow, 65 Speed. Age 26, 4 Star Pot.
    8. Cam Maybin ----CF 80 Ovr, 64 Con, 66 Pow, 86 Speed. Age 23 4 Star Pot.

The way I look at it is if u made the trades legit, or signed the players legit, then its fair. That's tye point of franchise mode to build a team however u want. Win now? Long term contender? Buy a championship? Draft and build through youth? Tye Yankees certainly dont ask if its fair.

Im certainly one that's all about realism so I understand where you're coming from. But I think if you made the trades legit, then its both realistic and fair.

Ok cool thanks bro, I just wanted some other opinions on if this team was stacked or not. The ratings aren't the best I suppose but I guess since I have so many power hitters it felt a little stacked. Stanton, Bruce, Pence, and Napoli really provide some pop.

I'd give anything for some power in my franchise mode, lol.

I'm using my Giants, with the most recent roster, and I'm 0-6 right now because I have nothing for bats. It's odd, I'm actually in the top 10 in hits, but I can never string anything together, and I'm in the bottom like, 2, for runs. Time to start tinkering with some stuff me thinks.

Good luck in your franchise man. Hope you're having fun. What team are you using?

            F the Padres.

lol, j/p. I'm a little bit bitter since they just swept me in 2 games that I thought I should have won.

              Re: Is this lineup unfair?

Haha nice. I had Mike Stanton at 1B and he was making too many errors so I ended up trading Hunter Pence for Mark Teixiera and moving Stanton to LF.

              2. Chris Johnson
              3. Teixiera
              4. Stanton
              5. Bruce
              6. Napoli
              7. Maybin

Now that it a solid lineup. One guy with 81 Contact, 2 Guys with 90 Power, 2 Guys with 85 Power, and a 64 contact 66 power guy in Maybin.

I think i'm gonna average like 2 HR's a game with this lineup. Although I will probably only have 1 guy in my lineup bat over .300 (Chris Johnson), I should have 2 guys with 40 HR's and 2 guys with 30.

Maybe it's just me still, but this lineup seems like the best lineup in baseball. I think I might start a new franchise and I'm gonna make a rule to only do 4 Trades a year.

2 Trades where I acquire a Hitter and 2 where I acquire a Pitcher. I can only do 1 of each until the trade deadline, then I can do my 2nd trade for each. This way it still feels like i'm the Padres. Because with this lineup I only got 3 out 8 Padres left.

Now I need your opinion on who I should grab.

              1. Upgrade Jorge Cantu to Mark Teixiera/Prince Fielder.
              2. Upgrade Nick Hundley to Mike Napoli.
              3. Upgrade Ryan Ludwick/Will Venable to Jay Bruce/Mike Stanton/Hunter Pence/Nelson Cruz.
              4. Upgrade Bartlett to Jed Lowrie.

What do you think it the most realistic trade and which do you think is the best trade?

Imo 2 and 4 are the most realistic. Unless you offer a boatload for 1 and 3 it probably will not happen. 1 and 3 involve current and/or young studs from other teams.

Ok Thanks bro, appreciate your input.

I can actually Land Teixiera, Fielder, Stanton, and Bruce for Chase Headley and Chris Donorfia.

                    Re: Is this lineup unfair?

I typically don't make a bunch of in season trades with ANY game I play, for the same reason you stated, the realism aspect of it. Teams usually don't go out and make a ton of in season roster moves.

But the off-season is fair game. I'll make roster moves til I'm blue in the face in the off-season.

Im gonna have to ride this terrible offense and let my pitching carry me until July, then i'll grab me a big power bat if im in the pennant race.
