Is there a point to check swings in this game?

I had 3 in the last game that were called strikes, even though the ball wasn't anywhere close to the strike zone, and the animation showed that my batter never went around. I've also had it happen to me everytime in the past that I've tried to check my swing also that it was called a strike.

So... is there a point to check swings?

I can't really check swings either. There have been times where I don't get called, but it seems like I get called on it more than not.

Check swings are a joke in this game, 80 percent of the time there called strikes, it should be how far u pushed the stick forward b4 u pulled it back which determines if u crossed the plate or not, this is a horrible game for check swings
