Interesting angle. I do have the game installed to the hard drive. I'm using what I guess would be called "official" rosters (used the default rosters available when I started my franchise). I've had 2 players on the DL since the first month of my franchise (currently at the end of month 2). Those players were injured before the latest patch. Since the patch (about 5 games now), those players injury/DL times have not changed.

The only thing that seems to change the DL/injury times downward is if you sim the game (no, supersimming doesn't work).

Man, this is really weird then. One person was reporting that the injuries he had before the patch went down but any sustained after didnt reduce...

I started a new franchise and am just ending spring training. I plan on playing the Season Opener later and luckily I've got Tabata with a minor injury. I'll have to pay attention and see if his injury time goes down after I play.

Not the case in my franchise. Had 4 on the DL pre-patch. Downloaded the patch. Played 2 games no off days or simming involved. None of the 4 players dropped in duration whatsoever. Pre-patch, anyone on the DL would drop in duration after a played game/simmed day.

Same situation with me.

Just trying to find a common denominator here.

Since it doesnt seem to be a matter of using an edited roster file versus a default one, who here has the game installed to their hard drive? And are you seeing the bug or not?

I have it installed to my hard drive, play with a 2kshare slider set, and play with a 2kshare roster. I just don't know what else could be a trigger.. Some of the franchise auto settings perhaps?

This could be going out on a limb, but what slider set are you guys using for injuries? Since 2k specifically addressed the injury frequency in the patch, could it be that any slider setting not at default 50 be causing this bug?

I don't think so. Since I had downloaded the patch I turned my injury sliders from 1 (pre-patch) back to 50 (post-patch). Played 5+ games now and my 2 players who are on the DL are seemingly locked at 4+ and 77+.

I've tried supersimming, playing part of a game and simming the rest. The only thing that seems to allow players injury/DL time to go down is simming the entire game.

Would be interesting to see if we could narrow down what could be the determining factor between those seeing this bug and those who aren't.

So there doesn't seem to be a common denominator. The bug seems to be effecting people inconsistently (some people have it, some dont, and some have it sometimes but not all the time).

We've ruled out official rosters vs. downloaded rosters. We've ruled out hard drive install vs. non install.

Is everyone who's experiencing this problem on Xbox? Is all across all systems? Have we ruled out simply a script error?

I have not been able to play a game beyond the two that I spoke about. I still have 4 straight games without a day off. I planned on manually playing all 4 of those games anyways. Hoping I can get a game or 2 in tonight and I will post my results.

Here's the best information I can give for my franchise so far:

Freddy Sanchez injured on April 12. I *believe* the overall duration was 29+. But the message that popped up I *believe* said 4-6 weeks. Emphasis on "believe", I am not 100% certain on either of these. When the injuries hit, I didn't know about the bug yet. I do think that these are both accurate tho.

I do know, however, he's been listed on the 15 day DL, but his DL stint has been 29 days (or 28). His DL stint has matched the duration of his injury length.

Game on April 13. No decrease.

Day off on April 14. Sim. No decrease.

Game on April 15. Manually played. Duration decreased 1 day. 28+. Also decreased: Mike Fontenot, minor injury. 7+ to 5+; Andres Torres, DL. 11+ / 15 DL to 10+, 14 DL

Game on April 16. Manually played. No decrease in Freddy Sanchez or Andres Torres. Mike Fontenot, minor injury, decreased from 5+ to 4+.

Thinking about it, I feel like 4-6 weeks is key here.

30+ is a month. 4 weeks. But the injury duration for Sanchez was 4-6 weeks. Therefore, it could be anywhere from 28 days to 42 days.

Like I said, when I have a chance tonight, I will play a game or 2 and post my results following those games. This is my current injury list:

Aubrey Huff - Arm Stiffness (minor injury) 4+ 0 DL
Mike Fontenot - Strained Bicep (minor injury) 4+ 0 DL
Andres Torres - Dislocated Shoulder (15 day DL) 10+ 14 DL
Mike Roberson - Bruised Heel (minor injury) 2+ 0 DL
Freddy Sanchez - Fractured Ankle (15 day DL) 28+ 28 DL

So, for you it looks like the injury times are all estimates. Sometimes it goes down, showing progression towards full health, but some days it stays the same, showing that it is still not healing quickly?

But when you sim games, it consistently gets better after every game/day?

No. I have simmed days with no decrease in duration.

Yes, it seems, in my case, that injury length durations are estimates, not exact.

This is strange. I am about to start a new franchise and will chime in once I get some injuries.

All of my minor injury guys went down. My 2 DL guys stayed the same.

Have people who have been experiencing this bug seen players with minor injuries effected by it as well?

Sounds like the bug is actually on the DL days not going down, not the actual injury length. I noticed on mine the injury days go down, but not the DL days. So after 15 days they are completely healthy, but still showing 15 days left on the DL.

Yeah that's it... The DL is broke. Players not on the DL but get hurt are fine.

I just played my first game since reading about this "bug."

Going into the game I had:

Elvis Andrus: Herniated Disc - Day: 19+ DL: 19
Nelson Cruz: Torn Groin Muscle - Day : 13+ DL: 13

I played my game (not sim, I never sim.)

Elvis Andrus: Herniated Disc - Day: 18+ DL: 18
Nelson Cruz: Torn Groin Muscle - Day: 12+ DL: 12

I use L Train 8's rosters, with a few minor league players that I edited.

As you can see, mine works fine. I'm beginning to wonder if some people didn't know how the DL worked pre-patch. If they are having this problem, then I'm not sure where this patch has "ruined" your game.
