Re: Another New Bug
I don't think it lets you move them after they get put on the DL.
edit: if you move the minor player up first it lets you.Last edited by suorange; 05-23-2011, 05:26 PM.Comment

Re: Another New Bug
Not sure if I'm getting what you mean by that, but my problem is that ML players already on the DL are essentially locked there. If I tried to send a DLed player to the minors there's a message saying that you can't send a guy from the DL to the minors.
Tried using the "sim to date" method as well today and didn't see any change. It's been 6 games now since the patch and I've had no change in either of my two players on the DL. I haven't had a scheduled off day yet and I've been playing each game through. I made a duplicate franchise file and tried simming a few games and that, so far, is the only way I can get the DL/injury times to go down.Comment

Re: Another New Bug
I have a guy in single a on dl. His dl days decreased while my guys in the majors didn't. Someone just said if you move a guy from the minors up first, you can swap him out with a dl'd major leaguer on the dl. Im gonna test it tonite, as in my franchise I dont mind releasing a couple 2 star minor league prospects as a price to pay to heal my major leaguers. If it works, then we have a work around.Comment

Re: Another New Bug
Yeah, if you do the call up send down it works. And if you don't play the minor league games they will be simmed that's why it works. This is a work around I just tried it everyone. Call up a minor send down the DL'd guy and his injury will be simmed. Remember you can't send down the DL'd guy first it will say "you can't send a guy from the DL to the minors."I have a guy in single a on dl. His dl days decreased while my guys in the majors didn't. Re: Another New Bug
Awesome, thanks for confirming that. That makes sense yea, since I dont play minor league games they would be simmed. Okay people it seems like we have a work around for this bug. Its shady, but at least we can continue our franchises. I lost out on a few extra days of andres Torres and Freddy Sanchez, but I can just pretend they had bad recovery, lolComment

Re: Another New Bug
Appreciate this, guys!
Question: could someone start a new thread with specific instructions on how to do this? Would be very much appreciated...
(Also, does the game place limitations to call-ups and send-downs? ie. putting someone through waivers or is that not an issue (meaning: do guys run out of options?)?STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: Another New Bug
No, but I play like they do. If I want to send someone down and he's older I release him and if no one picks him up in 10 days and I still want him I sign him to the minors or I just let him stay a FA.Appreciate this, guys!

edit: One more note on the DL bug. For this to work use the call up send down option. After someone gets hurt call up a player to make your roster have 25 players again then call up another player and it will ask you to send someone down. Send the DL's guy down then send one more to make your roster have 25 again.Last edited by suorange; 05-23-2011, 09:32 PM.Comment

Re: Another New Bug
This is a good work around. Only issue that might come up is in Sept when the minor league games are over. I noticed in a spring training season I simmed that guys in the minors before the season starts, their injury times stay frozen.Comment

Re: Another New Bug
Yah, I think this workaround will at least allow me to turn injuries back on. It's all we've got since I doubt we'll get another patch anytime soon (if at all). Thanks everyone!Comment

Re: Another New Bug
Is it really a big deal though? You're going to call someone up from triple A to replace the guy you put on the DL, and probably someone from Double A to Triple A to replace that guy. As long as you don't sign a FA to replace the injured player, it shouldn't be a big deal.
As far as how the DL works irl, you never have to put a guy on the DL a second time. If you put him on the 15 day-DL, he has to be on there a minimum of 15 days. There is no maximum. That player does not count against the Active (25-man) roster. The 60-day DL is there because then the injured player does not count against the 40-man roster. But without options or 40-man rosters, neither of these things really matter, so using the minors to heal players instead of the DL doesn't make a big difference, imo. It's a superficial feature without options.Comment

Re: Another New Bug
2k sports is such a joke, i'm glad i only shelled out 30 bucks for the PC version and not 60 for the xbox version.
first off, they release a game with silly bugs and glitches that they HAD to know were in the game, and their "fix" just breaks franchise mode. sorry i'm not looking to have to send all my injured guys down to the minors and call them back up every time they get hurt, thats stupid.
another smash and grab job from a major gaming company.
sad part is, I bet if this was a PC-only title, these things would be snap-fixed. Another example of consoles ruining gaming...... sigh....
games on the shelf for now, and if they don't patch this soon, i'll never buy another 2k game again.Comment
