Best way to build up a young prospect?

What is the best way to build up a young prospect in this game? Let em learn in the minors, or bring em up to the pros?

I have a couple 5 star prospects in the minors. One specifically is Mike Miller. He's a 5 star pitching prospect at the top of the rotation in AAA. I brought him up to the majors cuz I had a few spots I needed to fill due to injury. I placed him as a long reliever, since he's left handed and I was in need of a leftie out of the bullpen, but I dont think he's ready to take a spot in my rotation yet.

I haven't played him yet, tho im sure hell get a shot soon. But would he be better off in the rotation in AAA building his potential? Or will he grow faster getting time in the majors?

I've got some others too, throughout my minor league squads that im curious on how to handle them.

honestly I don't think it matters where they are or if they get playing time or not when they are super young. I'be simmed a few Franchises just to see the stats and Jesus Montero and Austin Romaine (both catching prospects for NYY) always grow to mid 80s overalls after a few years even though Romaine almost never gets playing time because I still have Russel Martin as catcher.

Give em playing time. Especially if your good at pitching. Also hire a better pitching coach if one is available. As long as you put up numbers with your prospect that are above his overall, hell progress quickly. Not to mention hot streaks.

Is there a specific attribute I should look for in a pitching coach? Teaching, id imagine?

I've had some success having them play everyday in the minors. The thing is, if you bring them up to play everyday with average at best ratings, they are going to perform at an average level. Since performance plays an integral role in ratings increases/decreases, you're better off letting them progress at a natural pace in the minors until they are ready for the MLB roster.

Man did they make Jesus Montero look ugly. He has like a Woody Woodpecker nose. Lemme know if you made him look any better. I tried to make him look better, but it's not perfect

I personally put them into the fire and hope they perform well
