It seems during a play now game they let you edit the other lineup, but not in Franchise, even with Edit CPU Rosters turned on?

Anyway to edit CPU lineup in franchise?
Is there a way to edit the CPUs lineup in franchise? They never rest players when I actually play a game, and I'd like to sub out a few and change things up once in a while.

I've been considering starting a new franchise controlling all teams in the NL but I'm not sure I want all that responsibility. -
Re: Anyway to edit CPU lineup in franchise?
You can control all teams and not have all those responsibilities (Lineups, injuries, etc...). After you start franchise and select control ALL teams, just go to franchise automation and turn everything on(CPU auto) that you dont to be responsible for. The cool thing is you can still control what you like, or go back to the automation screen and turn things off.Comment

You have to edit the line-up before you select play now. Once you pick play now in Franchise you can only edit the team you are in control of. So go to GM and than manage lineup and set it for the CPU, then go to your game.Comment

Re: Anyway to edit CPU lineup in franchise?
In franchise you have another option. When you're setting up your franchise, you can choose "edit CPU teams" or something like that. If you click "yes", then you can edit the CPU lineup before each game.
Here's how you do it: hit start to begin the game. Then, hit start while the game is loading to get to the lineup screen. Hit Y to toggle to the CPU lineup, and edit it as you please.
Hope this helps!Comment

I would also like to point out that the CPU does in fact rest players every now and then, just probably not as much as they shouldComment

Re: Anyway to edit CPU lineup in franchise?
I CAN go into the GM tab and make trades and send them up and down, but for some reason I can't change the actual game lineup, either before i hit "play the game", or after in the pre game menu you can get to with the start button!Comment

Re: Anyway to edit CPU lineup in franchise?
But here's the thing, even though I have Edit CPU Roster set to ON, I can't change a teams lineup under the Manage tab.

Really? I am on the PS3, and when I go to manage I can change all the line-ups, pitching rotations, etc.. for all the teams. Now when I go to play my game and it is loading, I can only change my line-up when I hit start.Comment

Re: Anyway to edit CPU lineup in franchise?
You can...
Choose "edit CPU lineups" when starting a new franchise. (or change it under franchise options" with and existing franchise.)
Then just go to the lineups or pitching rotation screens in the franchise menu and edit what you want.... I DO NOT mean the pre-game menu when you can hit "start" and edit lineups there it will only let you edit your own team. I mean the lineups and pitching rotation screens within the manager tab within the franchise main menu's, from there you can edit CPU teams.
I had to do it because the stupid CPU had Derek Jeter batting 9th in their lineup! Even though I hate the Yankees, I need's my realism!Comment

Same here, man. I know I'm not stupid--I CANNOT edit the non-user-controlled teams in Franchise mode...I am on XBOX 360 as well.Comment

Re: Anyway to edit CPU lineup in franchise?
Same here. I can send guys up and down to the minors with "Edit CPU Rosters" on, but I can't change their lineup pre-game. On 360. Must be a 360 thing.WE ARE PENN STATE
