You can't look too crush it. If its low let it go. You see one up a bit. Sit back on it and put it in play. Try to aim to get a flush contact swing on it.

You just have to get the timing down and just try to make contact. I just put up 9 on the Red Sox online, 6-7 were off of Wakefield and most my runs came from stringing together hits. I did have 2 HR's, but that is because I was patient and would only power swing when I was ahead in the count(or 0-0) and the ball was up in the zone.

Like Maniac said, lay off the low ones if you have room to take a strike. You just have to get your timing down and hope to string hits together. If you go up there swinging for power every pitch, then expect a lot of weak fly outs.

I can't hit it worth a damn. I play in AL East in my franchise so I see Wakefield a couple of times a year. Totally inept. The only thing that makes me feel better is when you see him pitch in real life and professional hitters look like beer league softball players trying to hit it.

If your hitting is as bad as your typing, I'd say only a miracle will help you, son.

I guess the most important thing you can do is "tire" out the pitcher. Remember, they are on pretty strict pitch counts in this game when it comes to the AI wanting to pull them. Only use a power swing with count leverage, otherwise work with contact swings, and defensive swings with two strikes. Gather enough hits, and hope for the best.

Besides, you'll only face him like, two to three times a year maximum (if you're in the AL East). I'd say these might be losses you'll just have to take a bite out of.

It's hard at first but if you wait and let the ball come to you can you hit it all day long. I scored 13 runs off Met's pitcher in two innings cause his stuff was just weak. Also try to get walks and make them sweat a bit. Always take the first pitch. Just be patient.

While it is hard to hit, knuckleball pitchers are notorious .500 pitchers. They give up as many as they befuddle. Look at all the great Knuckleballers. Like others have said, you have to wait for the one in your zone and with the right movement. Then you pounce on a hitters count. After a few hits he'll be gone.

They can be annoying online though. I actually won't play Boston online. I can hit the knuckler but then my timing is all out of whack when I face a real pitcher.

I'm completely different. I love playing people who use Wakefield online. I usually can get a few runs on them early on, then they bring in a normal pitcher, sometimes even a starter, and I tear them up. For whatever reason my timing gets better after facing a knuckleball pitcher. I don't why.
